New steering wheel and airbag light.

Hi, Once I get my steering wheel back and it gets fitted (not by me unless it can be done with a reversible screwdriver) will the airbag light be on with no airbag being present? If yes, could someone help with how to get rid of it? Read elsewhere ages ago about some sort of resistor may be...

When I went to collect them the guy behind the counter seemed to be struggling to get a price together. I showed him a mail I had from ECP with a return authorisation and he wasn't having much joy sorting it out on their computer system. They seemed a good deal but I wasn't going to argue with...

By the time they got here it was around £45 for HR ones. Ordered on line and paid for for £30 odd, sent me 5 mm, returned to local store, got 10% refunded for some reason, they ordered me 10mm and had to pay £15 difference. Took about 2 weeks in total. Could have walked to your house and back in...

I'm ok on that score. I gave that up years ago  My tool kit now consists of a reversible screwdriver.....and that's how it's staying.

Cheers bud, Not at all worried re age, I only joke about it  One thing it does give you though is life experience and one of the most important things that teaches you is, what you can do today don't put off until tomorrow! Once all this work's done, there isn't much else, if anything...

Seats should be 2 / 3 weeks, eyelets were £50 per seat so they're going on them. When the steering wheel arrives it's going off to Jack @ Royal, no comms from Snappy. Collected spoiler back from the painters and it's a much better colour match. Spacers arrived for the fronts, just awaiting the...

    New owner of a V6.

Colour samples arrived from Cobra today, bit rapid as was only at GSM yesterday. Being ordered in Navy Blue however, the basket weave effect is only available in black so that will be different. GSM are checking if I can still have the eyelets. Can't see why not but will see what they come back...

At last, seats sorted Went to GSM and have to say, was impressed with the amount of seats to view, the service and the advice that was freely given. Had a look at the classics selection but, not exactly a lard ass here (34 waist), couldn't get my hips into 99% of them! Eventually narrowed...

    Ceramic protection?

Hi, I had the PPF to the front of my CSL, I went to PaintShield in Peterborough. I was also having the gTechnic ceramic coating. The lady that owns PaintShield, Annie IIRC, recommended having the PPF prior to the ceramic coating as she said they'd have problems getting the PPF to stick if the...

Thanks Jon, Giving GSM a call tomorrow to arrange to go and see them. Apparently they also do custom seat colours!

Agreed on the price although it isn't as hefty as the PP. There is a place in Notts ( GSM ) that does them, may scoot over and have a look. I'd only go for the GRP @ £440, no need to go down the kevlar or carbon route.

Trawling the t'interweb earlier today looking for options. Keep looking at the blue ones and the answer is nope. Great colour but the PH1 interior is quite subtle / crap, afraid that if I stuck the blue ones it'd look like I'd crashed into Halfords, dark blue then definitely but not this blue...

If you're selling the Recaro CS then yes, I'm guilty  Thanks for the honest answer on there regarding fitment, the thought of all the possible faffing to get them to fit sort of ruled them out. To give you an insight, my tool kit consists of a reversible screwdriver and I have to be careful...

Not 100% sure I have the cahoonies to go for this colour however, convinced that any black would look crappy.

They do have cut outs for std belts, bit fiddly to use though. Absolute zilch on eBay, i.e no clapped out ones suitable for a refurb.

Ideally yes, had some before in a previous car and they were excellent. Just chucking thoughts about as to go for those in the pic or wait an interminable time for some buggered ones ( PP or CS ) to come up for sale and have them redone in dark blue and grey.

If I went for the half leather option it would be black only with blue centres, which I'm trying to avoid. Full blue only comes in Perlon velour apparently.

Great seats, just out of my budget though, Not quite a pensioner but retired! So no more silly wages coming in

Looking into changing the seats on my PH1 V6 and have a choice of routes to go down. Bearing in mind that the interior colours are dark blue and grey, I think black seats would look awful. Have some black floor mats from Renault and they don't sit well with the dark blue carpet so, Option 1 :-...

    Spacers 'guide'/info

Having asked elsewhere and got zero answers, thought it worth an ask here. The search for PH2 wheels is proving a bit fruitless unless I'm willing to pay through the nose so, spacers! Looking at fitting 10mm to the rear and 15mm to the fronts, will only go with hub centric. Anyone with any...

Rep Trophy spoiler arrived today courtesy of eBay, will be fettled to fit on Friday then it'll be off to the painters. No joy with PH2 wheels, put an offer on a set on eBay, in need of a refurb hence the offer instead of the asking. If that fails I'll stick 15mm spacers to the existing fronts...
