You wont loose any power by taking weight from the rotating assembly... its not possible
what it affects is rate of change of the engine, i.e. as it has less rotating mass it will effectivly accelerate faster as there is less inertia to overcome. Thus making the engine feel more responsive. Any...
Gstar, I have just seen this thread. Can you send me the email, this time to info@k-tecracing.com and I will get this sorted for you.
It seems we had a couple of bonnets supplied that have done this and we are looking to get replacements from our supplier. If you can send me the details again I...
This is the part that you should have had with the exhaust, Please can you confirm that this part has not been fitted or whoever fitted it hasn't disregarded it in error.
Regards
Bex
We always find there are some garages that just cannot fit an aftermarket exhaust and they are very quick to blame the exhaust for their own failing to fit the exhaust right.
The system has not be redesigned, they are all the same and should all fit very well. Greeny if you are ever down this...
You should have received a seperate rear mount that sits behind the silencer and you can see this in this picture http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2419
The other 2 standard mounts bolt into the standard positions as if the standard exhaust is still fitted, and to gain some extra...
We fitted one of these for a customer. No stainless steel shaft and it felt like that if you changed gear hard enough it would bend. Made in China special!
David.
Sorry, not the same as ours.
Our car is running a similar 5 spoke wheel that is made specially for us in Italy in a specific Megane 225/R26/197 fitment.
Obviously we sell both kits, the first LP Turbo kits will start rolling out the door in the next week or so, people who have declared interest will be contacted of course, so perhaps it's a little too early for people to summarise opinions based on the number of conversions out there.
Both...
Hi Guys,
So the White Demo KTR is rebuilt and running today, those who have put their names down for this car will be going out in it, no worries!
Ref confirmed times:
Those who have put a time down, will be booked into the vehicles for that time. Those who have put anytime, will need to...
You need to assemble the exhaust without tightening the U Clamps, then once you have the backbox in the correct recessed position, tighten from the back of the car toward the front. This will give you the best options for how much you recess the tail trim.
That looks much better.
I know it does not help but we see it so many times where a normal garage struggles to fit a non OE replacement part.
Glad you got it sorted in the end.
David.
Cliosport exclusive first chance!!
K-Tec Racing and GDi are offering Cliosport members first chance to pre-book test rides in their respective demo vehicles at this years FCS.
Heres the blurb:
"Leading Renault tuners K-Tec Racing and GDi have teamed up this year to bring you the opportunity...
We normally allow 1 hour to fit an exhaust and we sometimes use 1 or 2 heavy duty cable ties to reinforce the OE rear hanger, this is very common practice and is not at all "dodgy".
Hope this helps.
David.
I would definately recommend also installing the fitting kit. It is not an expensive part and alot of ahassle to fit at a later date. I would also fit a new manifold to head gasket.
David.
Just as a bit of info on how the systems are packed. We are now using a packing/silencing media that is packed in bags before being put into the silencer boxes. As the system heats up the silencing media expands out of the bags and quietens the exhaust down, this is why it can take a while for...
The stud is in the gaer box mounting bracket and is not included in the mounts as it comes away from your standard mount, a firm clout with a soft blow on the top should shake it loose. We've never had a problem fitting them here and have never been asked to supply one before, hence it is not...
