You need to assemble the exhaust without tightening the U Clamps, then once you have the backbox in the correct recessed position, tighten from the back of the car toward the front. This will give you the best options for how much you recess the tail trim.

We normally allow 1 hour to fit an exhaust and we sometimes use 1 or 2 heavy duty cable ties to reinforce the OE rear hanger, this is very common practice and is not at all "dodgy". Hope this helps. David.

I would definately recommend also installing the fitting kit. It is not an expensive part and alot of ahassle to fit at a later date. I would also fit a new manifold to head gasket. David.

Just as a bit of info on how the systems are packed. We are now using a packing/silencing media that is packed in bags before being put into the silencer boxes. As the system heats up the silencing media expands out of the bags and quietens the exhaust down, this is why it can take a while for...

The stud is in the gaer box mounting bracket and is not included in the mounts as it comes away from your standard mount, a firm clout with a soft blow on the top should shake it loose. We've never had a problem fitting them here and have never been asked to supply one before, hence it is not...
