Lol, the only time you saw me at Donnigton was when I was helping the Burpspeed guys and I wasnt even driving! Old age is catching up with you dude! ;) Senile old b*****d! X
Lol of course I do Fred! You've never seen me on track so canny comment! ;) Never had my pads fall apart either, I even used them to the backplates for a bit when on track so that shows my commitment! ;)
We all know why you don't like the CL's, mainly because you sell the DS2500's!
Given that the RC5+'s have been designed to not squeal they are so much better value. Carbon Lorrianes have very good cold bite for aftermarket pads, the best I've used and when using them hard they never let off/fade. Both things that the Ferrodo doesn't excel in tbh. So given they are similar...
James - Don't bother mate, it really isn't worth the hassle all that gear!
Nice project btw, if you can get all the bits and get it all working fair play! I had a setup like this before as I was going to fit it to a road going Clio but having spoken to R-Sport and trawling the Internet for bits...
Anyone into doing the 'Rivals' online? I did the summer stadium qualifiers and got through to the next round and wondered if anyone else did the same? Currently 652 in the Quarter finals now ;)
Tbh Ollie82 and I's racecar is going to be a rather budget build with simple stuff just to get out there racing. So spending £2,500+ on a ITB kit was really not an option. An RS2 extra/vibra engine mounts/slimline fan/lightweight carbon bonnet and all the other gubbins for £1200 was pushing it...
Ah right cool cool about the 197 cams, the car will be a racecar when the tax runs out so drivability isn't a problem as such. Though do like the amount of torque it provides at such low rpm with the RS2 so wouldn't want to loose much of that.
Sorry to hear about the engine, though it may be a...
Who really cares whether he's good or not, I'm sure if you were in his shoes you wouldn't really care who you have/haven't impressed. Loaded and the possibilities of doing whatever you wanted to do means he's just having fun. I know if I was minted id be doing all sorts of competitive racing and...
It made 158lb/ft of torque without even been mapped to adjust it from the standard length RS2 to the extra, though I doubt there'll be a massive difference.
Not had the timing adjusted just yet but will be soon, recently had the cambelt done so no chance of putting the 197 cams in. What effect...
Lol okay that's cool, cheers anyways. Will give Mike a shout, struggling to find someone that I'll be happy mapping my car and tbh I hadn't thought about Mike!
Ah right, thats different from saying that the cars must have a metal roof! Well obviously space framing is a different ball game. I was more thinking about a hatchback being referred to 'Tin-Top'. I think you can fit a carbon roof still.
