Its a longlife system Naith, little bit rough round the edges but after a few trips back to get it sorted it does teh job nicely!
Not sure whether its still a prototype or not tbh, think quite a bit of people were put off by the extra money for not a massive gain. Only 3bhp more but an extra...
So another update and probably the last one for the year.
Finished the first year of trackdays in the Cup doing 3 full openpit trackdays and 2 track sessions at car shows, here's a few pictures from this year...
This has definately giving me the bug so next year i've...
Few average pictures with the new coilovers/spacers etc etc. Also could apply for dirty car comp as well! ;)
Also a few of the RS-2 Xtra, still think im the only one in existance that has the Xtra now!
Project thread link also -...
Should of sold it to that company for £4500! As everyone has said, just get some Cup replacment parts and then flog it on to that stupid company that'll pay over the odds for it! Hell I might offer them my car!
They dont seem that savage really, obviously you wound run them like that on a trackcar but as Englebert said any advantage...
Clio Cup video looks savage!
So, drove past this earlier.... The car itself didnt look too bad, will have to arrange a actual viewing though. Though beside it was something rather 'choice', Mk2 clio with a backbox mounted on the outside rear bumper sideways. :dead:
So can imagine the Mk1 may need a little love!
I dont believe you that you'll turn this into a trackcar, you've been saying this for as long as i've been n CS! ;)
Please prove me wrong though and come on some trackdays with everyone!
I've found with the Whiteline its made the car a litte more lively, but only in terms of better turn in and more adjustability. I ran it on hard with my Vmaxx coilovers and its was vastly better than without it! Really depends on your driving style as to how much oversteer you'll get, if your a...
Never tried the RC5+'s but tbh i'm more than happy with the RC6's, prefer more break power than getting maybe an extra couple of thousands miles out of them/dust/squeeling.
The CL's are awesome end of! Excellent from cold, would go to say there probably better than most warmed up aftermarket pads! I heard people talk about 5 sets of disks to a set of pads, i'm on my second set of disks and they have loads of life left. I've done 5 trackdays and a fair bit of 'fast...
Of course pads are the way to do to better stopping power, I run Carbone Lorraines RC6's and the stopping power of them is phenominal! Paired with Braided brake lines and decent dot4 fluid means I get no fade even when on track!
After having Brembo HC's and max's i'll be saving my money and going for some HC's again, lasted longer and felt like they braked better! Plus the squeeling I got from my pads wasn't as bad.
This!
As much as I agree with Englebert, i'm not too fussed about spending over a £1000 pounds on a set of wheels so that companies research and development for new designs of wheels. Function over fashion and all that...
People keep on fitting these wrong, they look stupid like that! They dont look too bad when fitted like this....
You make the hole on the mount of the strap bigger and get a bolt with the same thread/size as the original toweye and bolt it straight to the toweye point. Then it sits...
