    Idle should be good regardless. Initial cold start can take a few seconds to sort itself out but shouldn't be a rough idle.

    Belts are different length due to some runningthe waterpump. Renault are lazy and it wouldn't surprise me if they were the same size. Plus you will be fine with a floating pulley.

    i've never used genuine bolts, never had a problem.

    i always go for outer, had one in where the belt had lost the inner rib and it had jumped the timing. probably psychological but that extra gap could help if the belt goes.

    jack the engine up, can get it with socket or spanner.

    jubilee clip around the tensioner, you can just get away with tipping it forwards as it doesn't actually need to move that much.
