If temp light wasn't coming on first I would of said was crank sensor connection.
Chances are nothing to do with the map itself, my money would be on a bad connection somewhere. I've had some stupid wiring issues with these so quick check of connections and earths.
Anything you can datalog with?
Know a few people who've ran powervamp even as a daily and they've not had a problem.
The oddest just seem to be so fussy and go flat if you give them a funny look!!!!
Check the earth from the box and also check the main loom earth on the rear of the box as well. Then check and clean relays in the box under the bonnet as well.
Do that first even if it's just to rule them out.
well delay after delay, got it ready to go for mapping and checked wastegate actuator and it was opening at 4psi, genuine new garrett. got it sorted to start opening about 7psi and dropped it to chris. week or two later got a call from him saying it was boost creeping and getting to silly...

your mpg isn't that bad, plug it in and check wehat the lambda is doing and fuel trims etc. lambda is probably slow.
from empty or low, cold engine, cap off, bolt all the way out, coolant in until it comes out of the bolt hole, bolt in, top coolant off to max, squeeze top hose few times, top to max again.
cap back on and use car, get it to temp and then leave it alone until next morning, should of dropped no...
Two stroke is designed to be pumped to mix with fuel, never looked at pump pressure but it won't be much at all, couple of psi? High pressure diesel pump 1,500psi, slight difference.
If he's not going to stump up £80 beforehand then I can see this being a nightmare for you.
Tel him if he doesn't want to do that then you are going through his insurance. Your premium shouldn't increase because you've had a bump BUT if you go through his insurance ask yours if your premium...
Two strike oil isn't designed to lubricate the pump, regardless if what anyone says it will lead to pump issues.
