Figures it was someone like that.
As long as springs don't drop out when the car is jacked and they seat as they should when it's back on its wheels they can't fail it.
can't fail it on that. go back and ask them to show you where it says it's a fail. if they refuse or can't show you phone vosa, or whatever they are calling themselves this week, while you are there and watch them squirm while you complain about them ?
Pin sits in a groove on the bung, need another groove at 90 deg to the original one and not as deep.
That will make sense when you see it, if it doesn't make sense then you shouldn't be doing it!!!!
Puts more preload on the spring so should hopefully up the pressure that it takes to open the...
yup, double check the pocket depth but the meg gasket is about 1mm thicker so is going to get you about there, also am sure i've heard of a couple of people running vvt with meg pistons and possibly just 225 gasket.
nothing there to weld a nut to, easyouts are shite. you screw something tapered into a hole drilled in a bolt that's stuck in a nut etc. this expands the bolt, plus when they snap good luck trying to drill one out ?
The snapped bolt...drill it, start small and by the time you get to about a 6mm bit if you have at it chances are it will pick up on the snapped bolt and spin it out.
If you wedge something between the bracket and the mount as the insert goes it will stop movement. It's the laws of physics, you can't change or argue with them.
You will get more vibrations and if you stiffen up one mount out of four it then highlites how bad the others are.
New mounts...
