I got a new sideskirt for my 172 ages ago but havent fitted as it's titanium silver and my car is iceberg. What's the best way to go about getting this sprayed up on the cheap? Is it really that bad to use rattle cans of iceberg from renault?

you'd be hard pushed to make the bonnet out of plastic and get a good NCAP score. The steel will absorb quite a lot of energy as it bends and buckles. If you got a composite (probably fibre reinforced) it would give a pretty brittle snap on impact (except CF which if pinned right will shatter...

I spent a long time yesterday cleaning my subframe. It was covered in oily dirt, that didnt really come off with normal car shampoo/w'up liquid. In the end I found white spirit worked a treat. The subframe is being resprayed, but I'd like to avoid a repspray for the time being in my engine...

Some poor lad asked what color he should be refurbing his wheels, black or "amphasite"....or something like that. Cue ~4 straight pages of pwnage. It's a classic.
