engine in and got rid of abs pump at the same time. the fitting wasn't that bad but to be honest i'd never have anything from them again. it was only down to the fact we had waited so bloody long for them and the car was booked to be logbooked that stopped them from getting sent back.

they're already on the diagonal, all you'll really be doing is adding extra weight.
on your rear loom if you split the fuel pump and sender wiring and run that over on it's own you can run the wiring for the lights along the drivers side and then across the rear to the passengers side lights...
the guy we use tacks the box for it to stand on then tacks the whole cage together then knocks the boxes out, drops the cage down, welds it up and then lifts back up and sorts the mountings then.
you should see how close to the shell he gets them :cool:
afik salt content is minimal in tablets/detergent as salt is recommended in hard water areas?
don't know about washing up liquid though? also wouldn't use that in a cooling system, used some in the dishwasher once and it was like a bubble making machine!!!
used to use detergent powder years ago but saves having boxes drying out. i know plenty of people who use the powder in commercial parts washers and ultrasonic cleaners as well.

done it god knows how many times and it's fine, used to use washing detergent before dishwasher tablets were invented. it's an old arse thing and probably by far best way to do it.

if you're fitting a customer supplied part and it 'looks like it won't fit' it's common sense to phone and speak to them before you do anything let alone go cutting/modifying...
fill it with just water, dissolve a dishwasher tablet in some hot water and chuck that in with it. run it for day or so, drain and fill with *coolant etc.
*failure to use renault type D coolant may result in your dog dying and your wife leaving you for her ex boyfriend.
