You might find the 850 belt slips, you can't tension them properly with epas set up. I never go longer than 838.
Pull the drivers shaft out, only takes five minutes and gives you so much more room.
the head bolt torque listed are wrong!!!!
spoken to two people in the last two weeks who've done a head gasket and suffered from it weeping along the front edge.
head bolts should be torqued to 30nm and then the gasket left to compress, i normally hook the exhaust manifold in place and spin...
The small mound is what's been cut out so far, the other bit is the remainder of the original loom from drivers door pillar to bulkhead connector, fuse box and rear section connector on the passengers side.
The plan will be for the fuse box and relays to go and be replaced with a universal setup.
Not touched it for a while sorry. Ha e got a loom out and stripped but just need a couple of days to sit down with it and start sorting through what's what with it. Might bring it home over Christmas and faff with it then.
didn't do that well, think it was high 180's? alternator shat itself at the end as well fwir?
when they were under £500 they were worth it but now not really that good value, i'd say 197 cams instead unless you pick a used one up cheap.
not sure about the new one as well, be interesting to see...
go for it, there's nothing like being able to go out for an early sunday morning blast in the summer in something that's a bit stupid
for emissions see how it is and if it comes to it you can just tweak the map to get it through mot. either way that would be easy to sort out.
Get it on the road!! Sequential with flat shift is great fun, even when you pootle around you still get a nice pop when you shift.
Get the dampers off and get them revalved and some springs done as well.
Also emissions will be a piece of cake to get around for mot.
Make sure you do the main connector in the fuse box under the bonnet as well.
Then once you know everything is ok next step is to check power before and after the relays when they are switching.
