I'm going to keep it as it is now, would be pointless putting it back to standard to do similar things to another car. Yeah i'll probably go to a longlife outlet so they can make the std 182 cat fit the 172 system and then purchase the decat pipe from ktec also.
Cheers matey, was nice to meet you also. I wouldn't worry to much about the figures, the difference looks big but on the road/track there really won't be much in it. I reckon with the new JMS induction set up you'll get a good gain off that as the I think the Ph2 airbox is a rubbish design.

Went to Surrey Rolling Road yesterday with a few others off cliosport to get the Cup put on the rollers to see what sort of power it was making. I wasn't really fussed at first as I 'was' going to the cup back to standard and sell it.
I'll let the pictures do the talking...
This was last...
Was a good day indeed! Couldn't believe the Cup made 180.3, was completely shocked as last year the it only made 167.9 and i've only put on a few little modifications!
Cheers John for organising it, was a good laugh with a lot of really nice cars. Will be up for it next year, maybe push for a...
I reckon the RS one will give it the right shape at the front, it just works! :) I've always liked it so there isn't a better splitter for the 197 in my eyes! :D
If they wanted to pay lower tax, change to different car! Though if you have the money to do a conversion, then in my opinion you must the have the money to make it legit like paying the right tax.
I declared mine as I wanted to know that if there was any problems i'd be clean. One thing that does get my back up is when people don't declare there conversion, i'm sure 9 times out of 10 they will have changed tax bands so it almost makes them as bad as lazy scum that claims benifits!
Fair...
I'm guessing from what your saying Gaz, I think there just trying to prevent people doing a conversion on there driveway. Though having it done at a garage in the DVLA's eyes means its done to a good standard which to us realistic people know that it may not be the case.
Bloody hell, was never that complicated when I did my Mk1 Clio conversion 2 years ago. I just went to the DVLA in wimbledon, editted the V5 there, then taxed the car and when I got home drove it!
I guess its changed as there's been no doubt loads of accidents with conversion cars.
Lol I was told this also by my friend that works at Peugoet, I put it down to the drivers but we will have to wait and see with mine. Heard that the S1 rallye ones are good though, both for ratios and durability.
Gorgeous wheels on both cars! I'm really surpirsed that 5 spokes look good on a clio, always thought it would look rubbish! Definately needs some lowerage though.
Welcome to the Club, could be a bit of risk with the cambelt as you can never tell what the conditions like without looking at it. How much are you paying for it if you dont mind me asking? Theres quite a few Cups that have been well looked after in the Car For Sale section, and most if not all...
Must admit I quite like the look of that! Not normally keen of stickers but it seems to work really well! How do you find driving on really low profile tyres?
