Nah surely he would know it was diesel due to the sound? Hope he hasnt filled her up yet!!! What ever it is the engine aint nothing like my old 1.2 16v!!
Ok tried again. Pic is from a March 2002 Extreme. Maybe they have changed it in the last couple of years although its exactly the same as the March 2001 1.2 16v.
Come on dave, half the 1.2 16vs out there have 2.0 on the door so you cant believe those door badges!!! I cant believe Renault fit the wrong strips so often.
Well I am here looking at the the photos I took of the engines on my pre face lift 1.2 16v and my current shape 1.2 16v and they both have a grey engine cover and it has "RENAULT" written in silver then a yellow "16v" perpendicular to that followed by "1.2l" in silver!!! Exactly the same on both...
LOL I aint applying for membership until the car turns up so I have been using these forums without paying my way since the beginning of June! I bet Cliosport are pi$$ed off at waiting for my loot!
What are the dimensions of the key ring? I got one of those nice key rings from speeding.co.uk...
12th November, yeah right. 12th of December is more likely.
But dont worry about that. I am driving an old Pug 205! 950cc and I am borrowing it from someone until my June ordered 182 turns up in mid/late Oct (or maybe Nov). Trouble is the MOT runs out in mid Oct and it aint gonna pass! Not a...
I always thought the original Cup was supposed to be a hard core track day car that had been stripped out for uncompromised performance.
Exactly how "hard core" does a person think they are when their car has air conditioning!!
The AC would be the first thing I would strip out so why the...
Agree about black. I always had silver cars apart from my last car that was black. I am going back to silver now so that says it all!!!
Why would you cancel your order? What would you get instead? When did you place the order?
I thought the police guidlines stated that 90 was the trigger point where a fixed penalty cannot be issued and you have to go before a magistrate - not neccessarily an automatic ban?
Seems to me that many people doing over 90 but under 100 were given fixed penalties though?
What makes me laugh is that when we lock our keys in the car it causes us hell.
Yet the average 14 year old council estate resident could probably get that door open with out causing any damage in less than 10 seconds.
What ship?
I expect you will be selling it not too long from now when you have to shoot off again!!!
Some Clio sport member will get themselves a bargain!
My 1.2 used to do 50mpg on the motorway at 80mph. Averaged 51mpg on a Journey from Bristol to Cardiff and back with a fair bit of driving around Cardiff in the rush hour. Mind you it was better in town and could average 55mpg over a tank in urban driving.
Thats the computer reading, my manual...
Memories are flooding back now.
Id swear one of my platinum 1.2 16vs had a very small faint yellow stain on the bonnet and I think that maybe was caused by bird sh1t. Funnily enough I got very tiny yellow spots around my wheel arches from where tiny specs of wonderwheels flicked on it even...
So much for these fancy polishes we pay good money for.
They are supposed to protect against this sort of damage but clearly they do nothing of the sort.
You tried a bit of polish?
I cant say that it has ever caused problems with my paint before although I guess it depends on the bird and what they had for dinner.
Saturday afternoon is not the time to show off you Cup as the cops are all bored sick with nothing better to do....
Best time is after leaving the pub (not drinking of course) on a Friday or Saturday night. Around midnight on those days all the cops are very busy in town trying to stop the...
Mate of mine bought a second hand 3 series coupe with 50k on the clock.
He has had nothing but trouble with it, needed over a grands worth of work in a year and the depreciation now that he is trying to sell it is worse than my old Vectra (zero spent on repairs).
I am not a V6 fan so I didnt...
In fairness its not just Renault. How many times have you been to Halfords or any autoparts shop and been given the wrong sized item? I would say it has happened with 50% of the parts I have bought. You would expect the main dealer to get it right though.
Wouldnt recommend going back and...
Yup looks nice, thats a good reason for getting stripes.
Here is a good reason for not getting them:

Welcome to Bristol...amazing what goes on a 2am on a Tuesday.
Its not what people think of you, its the unwanted attention and vandalism the car attracts thats the problem. If you dont live in Bristol then lucky boy I guess you are safe and can go for the stripes!!!
Suspect you will still get nobs tailgating and trying to race you every five minutes...
If I parked a Mini Cooper in my road or pub/supermarket carpark it would last all of tens minutes - about one minute longer than a 182 with stripes!
The Racing Blue 182 does pull it off because there is a good reason for it to have the stripes. Trouble is 1.2 and Cup owners have started...
What about the vandalism issue?
Anything that sticks out will get vandalised, at least it will here in Bristol.
I live on an average private housing estate and have had to fit CCTV ffs.
I guarantee that where ever you park the car, be it outside your house, outside work, outside the pub...
Ignore the photos posted of Racing Blue. Even the closer ones look absolutely nothing like it. Not yet seen one that comes close. Best go to a dealer or something and look at it in the flesh.
