get to the scrappies and get a dynamique spoiler for it, will finish the back end off brilliantly for about £15 quid with bigger spoiler and tinted brake light, 6 torx screws to swap it over, 2 minute job
The 75hp d4f already has a 16v head that was what gave it the extra 15hp.
I wouldn't worry about the lag with a larger front mount in reality you won't even notice it unless you are fitting something the size of a living room radiator.
Good choice, it's based on the later d4f engine from 2004> so the 75hp one with the large black airbox/engine cover all as one. It got an aluminium inlet manifold with different throttle body and if I remember right the only difference internally was stronger valve springs, there was a breif...
If I remember right the dci100 is different from other mk2s where on the 100 you can remove the near side shaft without draining the oil but not the off side. I'm sure but it's been a few years since I owned mine
the 1.6 16v uses the same ecu as the clio 172 and people tune them on the stock ecu for boost but I believe its not perfect but ive never driven one, it was covered on here a while back I think the thread was how to build a 300hp turbo clio or something.
that's why I couldn't find them on google!!!! lol
ive got a K4M at the moment with the 4 speed auto, tempted to boost it for fun and see what the box can take before I scrap it!
at a guess that would cost a lot more than a turbo kit while getting you less power. you could turbo your current 1.4 then move over to 1.6 if you decide to go forged for more power, TWR performance do a turbo kit that fits 1.4 and 1.6 engines.
depends on your idea of fun really, some find the standard car fun, some find them with 300hp as slow. ultimately coming from a 98hp 1.4 then 170hp with turbo torque Is a good useable power.
rear shocks make it feel terrible so if your planning on doing fresh shocks anyway start with them, then if you haven't already id look at inner track rods, track rod ends and rack bushes
then worth a good alignment setup after all of that from somewhere reputable,
yeah if your car uses a jb1 then you can use a jb3 and jc5 box as far as I know, they are a similar series box so same linkage and cable clutch.
I would just go for a 1.6 16v 110 engine as its a straight easy swap and if you want more power then turbo charge it rather than going down the n/a...
I never touched the turbo on my 100 so never had to remove one, it should come out the top id imagine, its fairly easy on a dci 65/80 remove the airbox, egr housing gives you access to get it out the top. there will probably be guides online for 65/80 but its all reasonably similar
the engine should be a pretty straight swap, your car as far as im aware will use a JB3 gearbox? which the 1.6 16v 110hp also used so that engine would be a straight swap but I believe the twingo RS uses a JR5 or something similar, where the clio GT version of the engine used the 6 speed box...
id whip that turbo off for a rebuild since you plan on keeping the motor.
on my DCi80 I just unplugged the EGR valve which blanks it, mine was running bluefin software and never brought on the light so im not sure if they disable it.
oil change will be the least of your worries if that's not had its belts done, turn that £50 oil change into a £650 service lol.
My mate owns a garage and while he will happily fit the customers supplied parts the parts come with no warranty from him of course. Maybe not so much of an issue on...
Sorry I don't know much about ice these days so I'm not sure on recommendations. I would just change the head unit first and see if you're happy with that increase in quality before worrying about subs
I'd imagine the base unit is probably just as bad then, the later cars with medianav evolution have the same speaker setup but the sound quality and bass is night and day better!
I got some sennheiser hd-25sp cheap in 2003 on a forum, they used to give them away on Concorde flights and someone had got their hand on a pallet of them!
Have used them almost daily for 16 years now and they are spot on, I've replaced the ear pads and the cable once and they are still good as...
agreed, I traded my 200 in when it was 10 months old, it was really really clean, but on its second engine and diving to the left under braking which renault couldnt fix. it had been cursed since the day I took delivery of it off the transporter from France! looking at the mot history its never...
when ive done it in the past I've just swapped the light units not the auto levelling, I'm not sure how much work it is to swap it over, the aim has always been spot on for me, it of course doesn't auto dip over bumps etc so I'm not sure how it is to oncoming traffic but I've never had any...
Aye I'lltake them if there still there, just need to shift this initiale first and make some room!!!
Bought a set of xenon's, they came attached to this, going to start breaking it this week if I get time...
No mate this isn't the one, but I know the one your talking about it was blue too. This one was £100, rusty back arches and 1.6 auto a heap of shite ??
Those seats came up brilliant!!! Let me know if you see any spare centre caps for sale. I got a set of initiale wheels for the van, but they came attached to this as part of the deal lol
