i had pilot sport 4 on my last mk4 clio and have SuperSport on my 220t, regular pilot sport 4 was better in the wet imo, hard to tell in the dry but I wouldnt say the super sport is night and day better.
if you end up going PS4 I would say its more a side step than a down grade so don't let...
The drivers side front damper was seized solid, no suspension at all on that side, I was putting it off as I fancied a set of coilovers and nice wheels but they noticed when doing the belts that the damper had snapped!!! So attacked it today, this is how it came off the car....
love it in black, totally blends in like your 200 did!
I feel your pain with the Focus, my 220 trophy has been in and out of the dealers various times and the Renault dealership network is horrible. Have got Renault uk involved as in the past they have got things moving and unfortunately they...
Nothing much been happening, I was abroad for a week so dumped it at my mates garage and they changed the belts and water pump, finally no more chirp chirp as im driving down the road!, I gave it a coolant change and flushed out the coolant bottle as it was filthy
its a straight forward swap if you have a doner car but as above sunroof is an issue as the shell isn't as strong. doesn't make it impossible just slightly flawed.
everything bolts straight over but you would need a doner car to do it right so it begs the question is it worth while? buying a...
when mine used to play up I used to unplug the 3 plugs from the bottom of the UCH and leave it for an hour then re connect, this would make it work flawlessly for a month before starting again, I just lived with it but I believe it was the UCH on its way out, similar issues with fast flashing...
I would be worried about fitting a fmic to mine as I seen how hot it was getting in the summer when it was 25c outside and I was out a blast, I couldn't touch the bonnet!
Uch isn't as big an issue as people make out either these days, my mate had one fail, found someone online who repairs them, sent it away a few days later if was back, refurbished and working perfectly
I would say that's expensive, by the time you spend £300/400 putting a set of xenon's, washers, wheel Refurb on it to get it back to normal, then service it, then it's going to need a belt change before you sell it say in a year or 2, doesn't make it good value unless I'm reading into it too much!
Vvt only activates once certain perimeters are achieved, coolant temperature being one of them. The RS tuner activates vvt from cold which is why the cars drive so much better down low with an RS tuner map. From the factory even from new they were notoriously bad from cold start due to this. I'm...
As above there is the option to datalog and have a custom map but then you have the customer service issues flagged, that would make me wary.
The off the shelf 98ron map or groupe n what ever it's called suits breathing mods so exhaust and filter, matched inlets etc. Still a bit of a compromise...
Broken Aircon also points towards a possible shunt, any time I've fixed a front end shunt for someone they have always told me to leave the Aircon to save cash!
Tbh that's not good value at that cash needing a service (long overdue probably) bits missing and needing a wheel Refurb
As above, bluefin from superchips is a bit more expensive at £300 but worth the money imo, their figures are conservative or should I say realistic but great experience from me on my dci65, and 80 and my birds MK4 dci90 is fantastic with their map too.
As above the fuel pump really isn't under...
That's a full fat since it's black with what appears to be cup packs.
Sounds like best case scenario someone has robbed the xenon's off it before trade in, worst case scenario it's had a front end, a give away is usually if the stickers at either side of the air vent above the front reg plate...
I wouldn't let ecotune draw a map of my garden. Made a royal c**t of my motor after charging me £450 for the privilege, it went back 3 times for them to try and rectify before I got Renault to flash it back to standard.
They didn't even write the map they just uploaded some file from Greece...
Generic in the sense that it's one size fits all but very well developed in the first place, not many places are messing with the vvt etc to improve cold running etc
I thought the cup ones felt a little cumfier and more supportive as the fabric wasn't as tight as the alcsntara if that makes sense.
lighter too without the airbags
Swap it with a 66 plate onwards with the Matt finish looks much better than the tacky chrome.
There was a facelift surround with the much nicer centre vents that went for £25 last week on eBay I just missed it for our banger
