yeah its my mate colin that owns it, hes painted SWR's escort cossie and their Accord touring car
saw a serious amount of work go into getting this all fitted straight and perfect too!
hes doing the front end on my trophy this winter and sorting out all the pink bits!
glad to hear your enjoying it. I quite fancied one after seeing superchips doing a 240bhp map for them! although we currently have a DCI90 Dynamique for the mrs and im not sure on it yet, had a few issues will see how they iron out!
As mentioned above I use Progrip in Larbert for all my alignment and servicing (on the cars I care about history, so don't do it myself lol) - Hes started doing mapping now with a franchise so going to get one of my DCIs done this week and see how it goes!
Used SWR for belts, although I just...
no headlight washers, no xenons and id bet £100 no arch liners either, thats definitely had a front end bang!
od tyre wear too id be getting that on a hunter machine to check if its had a detour off road and bent somthing
google it, its cheap rubbish with the general advice being to avoid! as long as your happy though! out of curiosity why change the standard manifold when its not an issue in the first place?
ive never been into trophys, got fed up looking for a good 182 as they were all sheds so went to view one, had to have it and im so glad I did, they are a different ball game to drive quickly in, that's before you consider it being a bit more special too which I love more than the extra grip...
quite common, I managed to forget them last time I fitted a set of dampers, same issue rubbing while cornering or hitting a bump, was scratching my head until I realised what it was and had to strip it all back down again!
i had a white one, unfortunaltey didnt keep it long enough to do many mods as i stopped doing loads of miles so swapped it for a 200
twingo RS wheels
RS mats, HID headlight conversion and megane GT badge..
silvervision indicator bulbs back and front to remove the orange look
yeah not looking forward to the finger prints! I was well impressed with it, it may only have 10bhp more than my dci 80 but its got something silly like 40lbft more! nearly as much torque as my old dci 106
number 12 I think?! lol!! I thought Bluefin was only worth £25 for a trade in against a...
yeah really finishes the car off, we wanted red but would have had to go brand new or petrol 😧
black looks good with the carbon too the one in the showroom was that spec although it also had the red pack which doesn't photo well at all but in the flesh actually looks really good, inc...
Bought this the other day for the mrs, pick it up a week tomorrow think im more excited than her!!
Its a Dynamique Medianav, 5 months old with 2500 miles on it, ex demonstrator so comes with the Rlink built in sat nav, cruise control, air con, esp, electric front and back windows and a few other...
ive enjoyed doing it mate, it costs peanuts to run, I don't think I could do without it, its covered in dings and scrapes, it has squeaky belts at idle, it smokes when cold but it also does 1k a week on just over a tank of fuel at the moment and I get out feeling reasonably fresh!
my mrs had it...
be lucky to gain a couple of bhp from a remap, not enough to make it worth doing as Ste mentioned above.
best thing you can do with them is enjoy them for what they are, keep it on sticky rubber and enjoy!
update on it!
done 13k miles now since I got it, let me down for the first time the other day when the drivers window wiper sheared off! on the motorway, 2 hours from home (going the opposite direction! had to return home, get the trophy and drive 4 hours back the way I was going!), in the...
I hate they way these drive on apex -40mm!! should have gone eibach, may not look as low but at least it handles with them!
looks like quite a tidy example
my DCI one was like that, the big heavy car suited the torque of the diesel for making pace down a twisty road, it was better on most of the s**t roads up here than my cupped 200 was! it used to bang and bounce all over the shop!
these handle closer to a 200 than they do a Dynamique S, I drove...
our driving school twingos get replaced at 2yrs 100k and they are done by then. We used to use Toyota Starlets and they would get replaced at 4yrs sometimes 230k+ and they were still on the original clutch!!
to give the twingo their due though they do 100k in 2 years and all they require is...
its a £600 optional extra you can buy the bits separate but they aint cheap. Renault parts direct had them listed on their website.
ive spoke to Renault Wolverhampton to see about the front splitter from it for mine...
