Holy crap, I think you;re right. I should have mentioned this yesterday. But I went under the car and that black bar was loose, so I could move it with my hand. I assumed because it is gear related it should have some movement to it. Also, when I undid that plastic tray under the car there...

I undid the plastic tray thing under the engine bay and nothing had fallen down onto that, but I guess there is a possibility things have fallen elsewhere. Not sure where to look though.

I've listened a bit more today and it is present in all gears, but is most obvious now in 2nd and 3rd. New to the mix is a loud metallic buzzing at 4k revs, stationary or moving. The other noise in the video is only present when moving. I think my whole exhaust system is screwed to be honest :(

Could it be exhaust baffles? (These are in the back boxes, right?), or could something wrong with the Cat itself cause a noise like this? Thanks

Yeah I guess I should take it to my local garage. I owe them £50 anyway so I'll go and pay them and get them to check it at the same time. Endless problems with this car. I wish I had never bought it.

Yeah I have. I may well get in touch with them to see if they can help, but they're quite far away from me.

The noise doesn't happen when stationary though so I'm not sure that will help.

I forgot to mention, it's much louder than the video suggests, and it sounds like it is coming from directly below me and to the left slightly.

I only seem to get this in 3rd or 4th when accelerating. It doesn't make the noise whilst stationary and it only seems to be audible when the windows are closed. It isn't the ECU bracket as that is secure. I've banged on the centre section and cat and can't hear any obvious rattles in there...

Just stick your camera on a tripod, take two photos, and blend them in Photoshop. Easy :)
