Hi all, As subject really. I searched but couldn't find out how. Do I need any tools? Thanks

I've just broken down and it sounded expensive

Well, it wasn't just the fitting of the engine. I've got a new cam kit, aux kit, water pump, air con re-gas, new clutch, new spark plugs, not sure what else, I'm still waiting for the invoice.

Exhaust heat sheild rattle... can i remove it?

It is damn annoying isn't it, Pres? Mine does it when stationary and when moving. I've glued, banged, bent all kind of things and still can't work out where the damn rattle is actually coming from. It is SOOOO annoying. It sounds like the car wants to explode when I hit 6k revs. I'm also...

Ouch, that looks nasty!! Certainly looks like a similar thing though. Mine, including engine, was about £2400 all in.

    Kenko Extension Tubes

My Kenko tubes cost about £85 brand new at the end of last year. Use it with a Canon 50mm 1.8, you need a flash if you want a decent DOF so that you can shoot at about F11 with a decent shutter speed.

I've just broken down and it sounded expensive

Righty ho, now I've had the car back for 24 hours I thought I would post an update. Firstly, all is well, the car is running brilliantly and it's SOOO good to have it back. JMS did a fantastic job, and James was brilliant when I met him. I've got a few bits and bobs which I should be able to...

Problem with steering?? Bump Steer??? Car pulling

I had very similar issues when I first got my 182. The car had 3 Michelins nearing the limit and 1 brand new budget tyre. I replaced all 4 and stuck on brand new Michelin PE2s all round and the problem was pretty much gone. It's still a little lively under acceleration and on bumpy roads but...

Driving through Hawkenbury, I was in the Arctic 182 :) Your car looked awesome. First time I've seen a 200, they look much better in the flesh.

Exhaust heat sheild rattle... can i remove it?

I've been fighting with my heat shields (backbox and centre section) for the past 4 weeks. I've glued various areas to the underside of the car with Araldite but now it's just a different type of rattle (arguably louder now!) I just had another look and the back box heat shield is ok now I...

    Where is the ECU bracket?

If it just lasts one journey at least it gives me a chance to see if it is the cause of the rattle. The other rattle I have I am fairly certain is caused by the centre section heat shield (I get this one at about 6-6.5k revs).

I'm home, car is back to normal. Thank you to JMS is definitely in order. I'm heading out soon but I'll leave some proper feedback tomorrow. :)

    Where is the ECU bracket?

I've decided to glue it with Araldite as a temporary solution. This stuff is amazingly strong so hopefully it will keep it in place for a while. The peg is to hold it in place whilst it's drying. I'm a little worried that the peg may well be glued as well :p

    Where is the ECU bracket?

I just went and had a look and it was staring me in the face, I'm guessing this is it :p What's the best way of securing the mofo in place?

    Where is the ECU bracket?

Having done some searching it seems that the annoying buzz/rattle coming from my car at around 3k revs could be caused by a broken ECU bracket. However I have no idea where this is or what it looks like. Any help is appreciated. Cheers

    Few major changes.

I'm not usually a fan of the RB colour, but that looks awesome. The white wheels with the red callipers looks bloody fantastic. Good work!

They have been fantastic, I'll certainly be singing their praises once the car has been picked up. I won't be, I only found out what it was recently (only had the Clio a little under 2 months). I'll probably look to go next year though :) Thanks for the advice. This wasn't a rebuild...
