I have just received a set of MTC hoses, does anyone cut a little from "upper" and "lower" joints or just fit them as they are? I've got the same problems as the OP
Thanks
I am starting to work on the car for this year. Since the last engine will be converted to turbo, the original engine will get a kind of rebuild
-new oil pump
-new cambelt kit and water pump
-mint cams with followers and tappets
-group N mapping
-new gaskets all around (without head gasket)...
Regarding the turbo, I will go for original garrett, just for manifold I don't want to spend over 200 pounds for that cast iron part. The china ones also have expansions slots.
Hello,
I start to build my second engine, turbo application this time. I want something at around 320bhp at maximum to can run a jc5 box.
So far I got:
Mk3 head and intake, wossner and pec combo with 9:1 CR, intercooler and hoses and full ARP bolts set.
I found that the exhaust manifold is...
Soon the brakes will be uprated a little with slotted rotors and ds2500 pads.
Using a paper air filter makes the car sooo quiet.
Does anyone knows the height difference between the seat runners? I have to build custom mounts for the seats. I've measured and came with a result, 34mm difference...
Ds1.11 for road use? I am trying to find a good and cheap as possible way.
I can have ds2500 for about £100 here in Romania and is the same as OE ones (from Brembo).
Trw disc are better than Brembo Ones? Interesting tbh.
The problem is that 300mm size is available for Scenic, and I might buy OE renault or TRW instead of Brembo ones as you suggest. The only problem in Romania is that OE pads are Brembo ones:(
Thanks for your reply
I will try to order using Renault OE part no. 7701208218 (is this right)?
I do not have any ducting and still got the fogs. Should I try to remove them?

Hello,
I know there are many threads, but I do not like to go over someones thread to ask for my personal problem.
I want to improve the braking power of my 172 Clio. I think the problem I have is from discs and pads.
I have braided lines, Ate typ200 fluid, bigger master cylinder, Brembo 4pot...
Cheers mate
I hope it will do the job. I will also connect the catch tank hose to the airbox, as I don't have any Mtc hose and want a sealed type breather.
As I did not like the ktec induction kit due to having a lot of dust in the pipe and before fitting the oil catch tank I have small oil gunks around the throttle body I start building a box for the ph1 air filter.
The oe airbox is not that cheap and hard to find, so I buy some parts that I think...
And in your opinion, what would be a good stock engine setup?
I am running fully ported head, inlet and tb. I am thinking of 197 cams or stock cams with group N timing, or even your setup. The only problem in Romania is mapping, so group N or 197 cams are more generic and could have a map for...
A copper hammer, a good vise and patience.
Make sure the surface is "flat" enough
Check both and paint them
Hope they will fit fine after this.
Also, should there be a small play into the solid mount? I think a tiny play should be otherwise the ball will be locked.
Thanks,
Radu
@NorthloopCup
What is your favorite brand of engine bearings? If you used tanged main bearings, do you grind the bearings or make slots into the engine block? I read lots of good reviews of ACL ones and also for King ones. For stock crankshaft I used the OE ones, but for regrind crankshaft I...
Hi mate,
Thanks for your feedback. Maybe someone try to bend it to fit easy or the car suffer from a side impact.
The threads in the top mounts are fine, no sign of wear there. I will straighten them up by using a vise and a rubber hammer and a new paint after. Maybe I can restore them.

Hi,
I just bought a used pms strut bar for my Clio. At first, I did not notice anything wrong with it, but after a close look I find out the the top plates are bent.
After seeing this topic I want to ask pms strut owners to check if their plates are bent or not. I think due to a little longer...
They are inside the wheel, yes.
You need to add more balance weight on the wheel when having them.
I test the tpms for a week now.
"BLE TPMS" is the only thing written on the box.

Spring is here :)
Also add TPMS on this wheels.
Also order pure strut bar and top mounts:)
@OssPoop
I fit the Et38.5 turinis over 300mm brembo conversion with your brackets without spacers.

Hello,
After reading lots of topics regarding how oil pressure can be affected by the filtering material and bypass valve inside an oil filter, I want to ask you if someone have an oil pressure gauge and see how the oil pressure looks like with the oem filter vs other brands. Someone here says...
Mate, since I was a child I own some RC models, and currently own a small CNC that can mill aluminium ( plastics and so, but no steel or iron ) and design parts for my RC cars, none of them failed. And if someone says there are small forces, think of an 5kg object traveling with over 60mph and...
