    Idea's on alloys???

Maybe look at the standard 172 16" 5 spoke alloys Or the similar style in the 15" that came on some non rs Clio's. Just Neatens it up a bit without making it look ridiculous, specially when not lowered, and can be got pretty cheap on here second hand. here's mine as standard:

    Coilovers

I had my wheels aligned yesterday. One tyre place I rung up told me on Clio's you can't adjust the camber. I then had to explain several times that my car was infact on adjustable coilovers so you can. Im pretty sure they didn't know what coilovers were anyway! Definitely didn't get it done...

    Best place to fit crossovers?

Lol we were all talking about crossovers not tweeters, before you slate us! I was worried about the dash not going back when I took it off to do mine, but there's a guide on here, and if you follow it its pretty simple, not at all as hard as I was expecting! Gives you much more room and easier...

    Best place to fit crossovers?

My crossovers are under my seats, but then they're connected to an amp in the boot. I'd say somewhere under the dash/behind glovebox/footwells would be best if your using existing wiring. Tweeters are even easier to lay cable for, so you may as well do that as well!

How to mount amp to rear seats?

I mounted it on the back of mine. I unzipped the cloth, but underneath wasn't a flat metal to screw to, its like metal struts horizontally and vertically. Don't know if its different for sport rear seats though?

    Installing HID's - wiring?

Scrap that. I just made the holes in that rubbery grommet bigger, so that I could pull the two wires with the big connector out, then I could fit that metal bit on, put it all back together and they're all in and sorted working now. Thanks for helping!

    Installing HID's - wiring?

As in cut the little metal clip itself, like if I snipped it where I've put a line through?

    Installing HID's - wiring?

Ah like so. I just don't know how to get the metal clip big to sit behind the H7 shape HID bulb? I can't thread it through forwards, because of the plastic circle bit of the bulb, and I can't thread it through the other way, because the connector is too big, and then there's that rubber...

    Installing HID's - wiring?

This is what I mean: Basically Im trying to upgrade the dipped beam, which unlike the full beam doesn't have a metal retaining clip. Obviously the new HID bulbs don't sit in the existing holders, so I have no way of making the HID bulb sit in? Edit: I think I've got it, that metal bit on the...

    Installing HID's - wiring?

I think I've got it. 1 plugs into 2 on the ballast. 3 the two little spades go into the existing bulb holder on the car. - But Im unsure how to get the HID bulbs to stay in, as there's no metal clip to hold the bulb in?

    clio door speaker size

Standards are 5.25" yea. You can fit 6.5", but you have to cut the door card, and fit some kind of wooden speaker ring to the metal in the door to screw the larger speaker to. edit: as above!

    Installing HID's - wiring?

I received my HID's today, however they have no instructions, and Im a bit confused as to fitting them! I've got two of these, one for each side: If anyone could tell me where each of the connectors that I've numbered plug into, I'd be very greateful! Sorry for being a novice! Thanks

** Your help needed - Get your car up in lights! **

Seeing the photo's above, mine doesn't really cut it lol. But still, its a Mk2 Ph2 1.2 Non sport anyway, although from your thread it looks like you might only be wanting actual RenaultSports!?

    Smooth untextured bumper strips?

You have to sand them down anyway, in order for the primer to 'key' to the plastic. If your doing them yourself.

How do I change the sidelights and side repeaters?

The little sidelights in the headlight units just pull out. The little plastic holder comes out as well, then once they're out you can pull the little bulb out and put a new one in, then push them back into the hole they came out of.

want to change my rear bumper but need some advice

I think this is the ktec exhaust mentioned above: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1724&appid=4 Why not get a 172 rear bumper? Looks identically except minus the two exhaust cutouts. Therefore no need for new exhaust and a much cheaper way of doing it. + Im not sure what colour...

    Gearbox oil

I think thats the plug iirc! Its roughly 3.5 litres altogether I think. I just used a bit of tubing, and poured it in till it splilled out the hole. Don't know if its different for sports mind, thats right for a non sport anyway

    DIY wheel refurb

I did mine with the tyres on, I just let all the air out, so I could push the edge of the tyre down enough to get some masking tape under and then worked outwards so I had newspapered all the tyres. I did mine with just Halfords standard aerosols, primer, paint and laquer. Did all of them in a...
