Re: help with fitting k&n induction kit to clio mk2 phase 2 1.2.. is this the right o
Heat soak on a 1.2? Who gives a f*ck lol. They don't go anywhere anyway. Just made it sound nice.
Thing is it doesn't look damaged lol. Spose its not that expensive for a new one.
Only thing is don't know if I'd be able to put a new one in. Not sure what I'd be doing and I don't have no special tool, for putting the clip on or seperating the CV joint.
Thing is I've got my MOT on thursday...
I changed the discs and pads on my 182 the other day, and on jacking my car up, I noticed on the passenger side there was a lot of thick grease stuff, like copper grease but black/greeny colour.
I then looked closer and where the Driveshaft joins the hub, the Rubber CV boot bit was loose, and...
By amping them your defeating the object of them being direct fit lol. If your going down the amping route you can get a much better set of 13cm components for the same money.
No. The red and yellow wires on the loom should do that. Its just which one does which is what is different in some cars.
Except some cars are canbus, or don't have proper ignition feeds, then you need to wire one yourself. Don't think 197's are tho iirc.
Is your headunit powering on now?
Hankook V12's on mine. Bargain price I think for decent tyres. The original size for my non sport alloys were 185/55/R15
But the Hankook's I put on are 195/50/R15. Much cheaper size of tyre and fit exactly the same basically
Yea Its quite a common problem mate. Its the plastic itself. Looks like it needs correction. There's a guide here:

Might help.
For a head unit to work you need two sources of power.
One permanent live, from the battery. And one fed from the ignition, which supplies twelve volts when the ignition is on.
These are normally the yellow and red wires. On some cars the wire which comes from the ignition is switched, so you...
Yea, you'll probs get them off there.
Basically those ones come in the box with Sony Headunits, and are the best ones to use.
Probs get them on Ebay. To be fair those one's work for most brand of headunits.
Could try popping down Halfords and asking them to pop it out for you.
The one's they...

My 1.2 16v (2005) Fitted like this:
Might be an idea to check your engine bay.
Depends how good you want the finish to be I guess. Are you respraying because they're curbed?
If so it'd be hard to sort the scratches without sanding right down.
If not, you could just use some high grade paper, sand down all the laquer, respray over the basecoat, then lacquer again.
Re: 1000'th Post: My New Racing Blue 182 :)
Thanks guys. Finally got it taxed today. Yea I've upgraded because I've got some no claims, and been working hard and saving since I left school, and finally it all fell into place that I could get one.
Loving it is an understatement.
I hunted around...
Just thought I'd celebrate my 1000th post on Cliosport with a Thread about my new car :)
I joined this forum with a bog standard 1.2, and slowly modified it, and it currently looks like this:
However ever since joining this club, I'd aspired to one day myself own my very own Clio...
Try doing the spark plugs mate, that's what it was for me.
Yea the difference in the tips will just be because they're different brands. Apparently Bosch are best for Clio's I read on here somewhere
