When I try and load it on my Wildfire the screen just stays black :(. Then when it loads it just 7/8th's of the screen white and 1/8th blue scrolling land bit.
I had it working once yesterday but its quite temperamental lol.
Its quite a common problem.
It will most likely be the connectors on the rear lights. Take the rear light units off, undo the connectors, give them a good clean and spray them with WD40.
Most likely they've got wet from the rain.
It should work fine, if you have the red > red and yellow > yellow.
If not try using a voltmeter, and checking whether when you have the ignition on you have 12v going through both wires?
I've just got one, I'm really pleased with it :). I think the Screen is still great, so that doesn't bother me.
Only thing is, its not so powerful, and not running Froyo 2.2 yet, so some of the apps/games aren't available on it.
So If I root my wildfire using the guide on the following link:
XDA Dev. Wildfire Root Guide
Then create a gold card?
Then load it with the most up to date rom from here:

I think it's this one:

If you search on google, there seem to be a lot of sites suggesting that it is on the Wildfire, at a similar time to the desire, but obviously with delays for carrier versions.
I've been on the XDA developer forum, and found a few tips, from what I understand its exactly as dajones says...
Yea, I remember doing a similar thing on my old N95.
I just checked Vodafone's website, and according to the forum's they still haven't released 2.2 on the Wildfire!
Thing is I know its unlocked, and the only hint that its a vodafone phone is the logo on startup, there's nothing on the menu's...
I've recently got a HTC Wildfire.
Looking on the web, I understand the Froyo update (2.2) is available for the Wildfire.
However I've checked and only have 2.1 installed, and when I click to see if there are any updates it says there aren't?
My Wildfire is unlocked, and I'm using it on...
I ordered some of the ones Jon.G linked, but longer for my spacers, and they fitted exactly the same as the oem bolts, except with a 17mm socket head, rather than the normal 19mm.
IF your not after making into a complete rep, colour coding is quite simple, just takes time and patience.
THere are a few guides in the guides section that explain how really detailed. BUt you have to be a paid member to see them :)
I work part time at Halfords and fit a few headunits.
Prices range from 9.99 up to 39.99, dependant on the headunit. The price for fitting is printed on the price ticket of the headunit itself.
Most of the mid range (~£100) are 19.99 for fitting. The only thing extra you'll need for a Clio is a...
Colour coding isn't that expensive tbh, and really improves the look I think.
Have a look in the guides section, towards the back there's a really detailed guide on how to spray stuff.
Yea those rubber bits go on the rear shocks, one on top of the hole inside the chassis, under the washer and nut, and one in the wheel arch under the hole.
see my thread from when I fitted mine, I asked all kinds of stupid questions! (ignore the initial post, keep reading down)...

I took both my diamonds off to repsray them. I took my front diamond off whilst my bumper was off, didn't break any clips, nor on the rear.
So didn't use any glue when I put them back on, and they stay on fine.
Use a tiny screwdriver, you pop one side up then you can just pull the whole holder out, then get the bulb out from the bottom iirc
Edit: by reg light bulb, I'm guessing you mean the rear registration plate bulb..
Cheers for the help, yea I know its the discs most probably, I've ordered some Brembo ones. The pads have got plenty of wear in them, but think I'm going to change them as well anyway.
So that ARB mount, is it still okay, its still basically together?
I haven't replaced the discs yet, so I know its probably them, I'm waiting for them to be delivered.
I just thought I'd check out any other possibilities whilst I had a spare hour, and noticed the above?
Right, I've had my wheels off today, to have a look, got new discs on order, but just thought I'd have a look as its getting really bad now. Shakes the front of the car!
Here's the photo from the passenger side, could this also be something to do with it, and does this need replacing? :S
