Thanks for all your help, I'm going to try replacing my discs first.
The vibrations really bad, when I brake the steering wheel vibrates, and I can feel the vibrations through the brake pedal also :(
Just trying to find the cheapest place to get oe discs.
Mark, I've got 20mm spacers on the front and they don't scrub lol (20mm on each side)
Make sure when you measure the bolt, you only measure the length of the actual thread, and add the width of your spacer to that.
Oh and I got my bolts from:
http://europerformance.co.uk/
As what st3ve said, I had this, and in mine it was the little hole above the light cluster, where the rubber block thing that is attached to the tailgate either side, wasn't covering the hole properly when I closed the tailgate. If that makes sense lol.
Yea Mark, as said, any spacers over 5mm you'll want to make sure you get hubcentric ones. They are much safer. Otherwise the wheels will be resting on the bolts, rather than the hub, putting them under a lot of stress, meaning your wheel could potentially come off if the bolts snap under the stress.
I'm getting bad vibrations from the brakes, so want to replace the discs and pads.
Obviously being a 1.2, I don't need any uprated brakes or anything, so was just wondering what ones people would recommend, or where to get them.
I'm thinking the best bet would just be to stick with genuine...
As for extended wheel bolts, I got mine from europerformance.
FK direct: http://www.fk-automotive.org.uk/websale7/?shopid=fk-automotive&subshopid=English
Or a UK supplier of FK: http://www.venommotorsport.com/index.php
If your after 10mm each side, you won't get hubcentric, as the original lip...
I got mk FK spacers direct from FK, search them on google.
I've got 20mm each side on the front, and 15mm each side on the back. I'm running standard 15" though, so 185/55/15.
You just need Hubcentric spacers, to make the wheel sit further out the arch, to stop the rubbing on the inside. not...
Yep that's a good plan. That's exactly what I did. I got some FK spacers, extended bolts from europerformance.
then once they were on, sorted out the ride height properly and once I was happy then got wheel alignment done.
Did you do anything with the camber?
I had similar issues. I got spacers though, so the camber could be adjusted properly, then had wheel alignment done to sort out the steering.
I have a mk2 ph2 1.2 16v, and have 6k HID's as the dipped headlights.
Yesterday I found one wasn't working, so today wipped the bumper off and had a look.
However nothing I do makes the bulb on that side work?
I've tried swapping the HID bulbs over, putting the Halogen standard bulbs back...
You'll need a socket set with various sizes, to get the caliper and bits off, and torx bits to undo the disc from the hub.
and something to push the caliper piston bit back (think that's what its called lol) for when you refit.
Sounds like the motorized headlight adjuster. On my clio, there's a little dial on the right hand side of the steering wheel, that adjusts the height, what happens if you adjust that?
Nope no problems whatsoever. They're the system B ones, so came supplied with bolts to bolt to hub. Have been excellent, high quality.
Also got a pair of FK system a hubcentrics, got the extended bolts from europerformance. been excellent as well.
