Perfect, thank you all! ARB bushes added to that list
I'll check that thread out now @leeds2592, thanks for the link
If I have to spend the extra and go OEM Renault I will, just if I can save a bit it would be great
Looks great, almost makes me wish I went for silver on my Turinis
I also need to get a V6 spoiler, been looking for a genuine one for ages but they just never come up
What suspension setup you on?
Oh and as others mentioned, change the number plate font for normal, as it just looks a little...
Glad to hear you're keeping it Tom, would be a shame to get rid of it now it's running smoothly!
If you do think of selling it in the future, drop me a message, as I would be genuinely interested (subject to having the funds at that time)
Makes me tempted to fully strip mine, but I don't know if I could put up with it, you've got to be fairly committed to the cause haha
Just doing 40 miles each day, and often do a 160 mile round trip to Bath each Friday - I don't think I could hack it, my exhaust drones enough on the motorway...
Just caught up with this Dan...bloody hell, loving the plans!
Megane lump will be amazing, and I'm sure you'll make it work spot on
Notice much of a difference when you stripped everything out? Besides increased noise I bet lol
Personally I'd compression check it for piece of mind, doesn't take too long to whip the inlet manifold off and take the plugs out
Although I have no idea how the compression would affect how hard it is to turn over by hand...that sort of things straight over my head
Thinking of giving my FF 182 a full suspension refresh, and this is what I plan to change :
1) Front Shocks (Cup)
2) Rear Shocks (Cup)
3) Top Mounts
4) Lower Arms (Wishbones)
5) Inner Track/Tie Rod
6) Track/Tie Rod End
7) Steering Rack Bushes
Is there anything else I should look at changing...
Thanks all, appreciate the kind words
That's my main concern Dan, don't want to 'upgrade' and found I wish I kept this, as I know I would struggle to find one as tidy and low mileage as this (although it is very rapidly increasing in mileage!)
Going to get it all up and tidy, and I'm tempted...
Just found there's few more photos to put up as well (Yes, yes I know I'm a photo whore lol)
Thought I'd try a new splitter and fit a towing eye :
Towing eye didn't stay as it was too much of a 'track' look, and I'm still unsure on the splitter! Looks good from the front but the sides just...
Sorry Dann, only just seen this! I did have a little giggle reading that, you'd honestly think you would oversteer into just about anything from what you read on here, but I'm seriously impressed! Seems more planted on the back, and does seem a little bit more playful, although not dangerously -...
^This
From behind they look great with the spoiler, and the contrast of the black works great on yours
The problem is when you see them side on, even with the spoiler, the back end doesn't look the best...
Interesting, as I'm trying to decide between a R26 and a Mini
Admittedly I'd probably go R53 (tuned up to 240/250bhp) rather than the R56, but recently it looks like people are recently seeing the potential of the 56's, just look at @Sir_Dave thread
Car looks awesome, never liked them in Silver much but with the Black Alloys and Spoiler it looks really good!
How you finding the R26 Bill?
Think this is the path I'm going to go, think it's time for a step up from the 182
That is interesting, as I'm seriously thinking of selling my Clio and making the change to an R26, so I'd really like to know how you find the two compare
Using it as a daily I assume? And GTi is your track car?
Thanks both, although much to my dissapointment it looks like a split the headlight job...
Might as well of just split my original headlights and painted them black, saved myself £100 then!
On the plus side you can get adjusters which is good I guess, so they're not wrote of completely - just...
Top man, definitely keen so keep in touch please buddy, I've just dropped you a FB friend request
He has mentioned you a few times actually, saying about your 182!
He doesn't do much in the 'car scene' nowadays, but we go out for the odd blast or work on the cars together
What car you got now?
Bought a set of Xenon Headlights with the black inserts, to change for my grey insert ones, off a lad on here and they've unfortunately arrived with the adjusters broke on both lights
It is the adjuster which his behind the big rubber cap, by the Xenon unit itself
It's the same on both of...
First time I've been, but awesome place, Joe actually told me to go there
Yes buddy I'd be very keen next time you go, I did see the photos from when you went on Joe's Facebook. Joe did mention that he'd let me know next time you go, always keen for a drive and to meet some new people,
I live...
Can't believe I haven't noticed this thread Dan, car looks very smart and good results on the mapping, nice strong engine that one
Makes me want to get mine mapped properly, rather than the RS Tuner 98Ron Map I have on it, but at £300 (I think?) and a 3 hour drive each way I've always held...
Attention to detail is absolutely outstanding, and a definite 'built not bought'
Nice to see no Turbo or ITB's either, just makes it that little bit more special
I take my hat off to you Sir
Serioudly considering some ITB's (admittedly I'd be looking secondhand most probably), but seen there's a few different kits out there...
From Jenvey = Jenvey SF ITB's with EFI Inlet Manifold ...
I didn't have them on long enough to give them fair test tbh, from my short little test they seemed nice and firm
I would of kept them on if they'd given me more of a drop, but they're pretty much identical to my Cooksports, and I'd rather stick to them as they are tried and tested - and I've...
My splitter got damaged trying to put it on the trailer, and I've had this one sat in the garage for a while so thought I'd give it a try and see what I thought

Poor photo I know, I'll get some more up when the cars clean - I'm still undecided on it, so going...
The inevitable has happened...my first issue with the car
So the Sunday just gone me and a bunch of mates were going to go up to Elan Valley for a bit of a blast
So cleaned the car as usual, only quick snap I've got

Met up with them then headed on our way...
