Dont get a 225, for the love of god don't
Funnel money into the Clio instead. Or buy something cheap and then engine swap it. I've toyed with the idea of getting a cheap s**t MK3 Clio and dumping a 2.0 dCi in the front for shots and giggles
Fabia splitter
Paint grilles matte black
Machine polish
Polished headlights
Silver indicator bulbs
LED reg plate light
Tyre shine
Razor blade the glass and give it a hand polish
Autosol exhaust tips
Loads of small things make a car look 10x better
Best value for money long term is either an RS Tuner or CLIP. I've got an iCarsoft and an RS Tuner but I'll still end up buying CLIP at some point
The amount of functions you miss with the iCarsoft can be rectified with the RS Tuner but CLIP does everything (bar load a tune). One advantage is...
You're not really meant to grease the stub mate. Just a clean down and at most a very very thin rub with some anti-seize to stop anything grabbing hold
That's my mates car
The car has had the chassis leg notched slightly but other than that it fits like a glove. People always said you would never get a K20 into the bay due to the height of the engine but this sits bang on and is still at the correct lean angle too. Oh and its supercharged too...
I'll dig one em out and then post em to you if you want mate. I've got no use for em, they're old but would probably still help you out without spending more money
If you can get some more DDR3 then get some mate. Make sure it matches the size speed of the other as DIMM's need to be matched
I might have a a few old GPU's about that might work mate nothing special but will easily push out to a few screens and have 1 HDMI output
Yeah it will prime it and get any air pushed to one spot mate
I've use the Eezibleed on mine a few times tbf, you just need enough pressure to make it dribble out. Fingers crossed yours will be ready for CSF 2022 ;)
Bleed it with the RS Tuner a few times first without cracking the bleed nipples
Then bleed with the RS Tuner
For the love of god don't go heaving on the pedal 😂 😂
It just stiffens the subframe to the rest of the chassis. Over time if you're smashing it up kerbs then you might notice the subframe flexing but other than that it should be sound
It's slightly harder and less travel because of the cylinder size being way bigger to suit Brembos
Just get a decent one from a breaker mate and then cover it up lol
Clios have a common issue for the MC seals to leak mate
If it's rusty then they will be shot and leaking fluid out. I've changed the MC on a few cars now and every one of them has had a really sorry looking square-cut seal in them. It's easier nowadays just to upgrade it to a 197 MC though
Sounds like an upgrade I may partake in them because the stubs on mine are put on with bolts that I'm not particularly confident in!
Just make sure you refurb the calipers as they're a massive c**t on the MK3 platform mate... Don't ask me how I know 😂
Yeah if fuel is going everywhere then the system should be primed
Just keep trying to get it going, my old dCi did this once but once it was running it was sound afterwards. I never found the issue and it behaved afterwards haha
