To echo Lee Ms comments really.
I changed because of massive discount.
I feel my 182 is better all round than the 172, it feels more sure footed around corners/roundabouts etc.
The twin exhaust didnt take my fancy to start with, but now its grown on me.
Build quality is same as mk2 172...
Thing is, You claim from the last place instructed by your insurance co (thats who owned the car up until you bought it back).
Its down to them to pay for the missing part, whether they then claim back from burrows is not your concern.
It comes down to whom you have a contract with, ie not...
Im not sure if Renault have listened to people regarding the gearbox.
The reason most (if not all) of us existing 172/182 owners wanted the 6 gears for is not acceleration, but a longer 6th gear to make motorway cruising more enjoyable (and dare I say it more effiecient!).
They seem to have...
Yup, as Pete said.
My last 172 had the drivers seat replaced twice by the previous owner due to bad stitching etc.
You can but ask. I guess it comes down to how old your cup is.
The 182 is the class below the CTR in terms of size and money.
The CTR should be compared the Focus RS, Golf R32 etc.
The 182 should be compared to micra, fiesta, mini etc
Off to see Renault Solihull at lunch time so they have have a quick look and see what it needs booking in for.
Ive got a funny feeling it may be engine mount related, and so engine is causing exhaust to move about too much [:errr:]
Oh well, will report back later!
Very impressed mate.
I think it adds a very individual feel to your car.
As to those that dont like it, it looks a hell of a lot better than the now commonplace lexus lights and other associated crud that people attach to the exterior.
Yeah, this is a deffo blow and not just vibration :(
Oh, well didnt spend as much as I planned in the US, so ProSpeed or K-Tech thats the choice :)
Might as well get it replaced so that when I sell the car.
Ditto Brazo.
As far as the law is concerned, the fault lies with you.
Harsh I know, but thats the way rear enders are seen. You should have allowed enough braking distance between you and car in front.
My 182 decided to greet me back from holiday in its own special way today......
The exhaust is knackered, no not just a vibrating middle heatshield.
But a proper exhaust blow!
So at just under 2.5months old, I think thats pretty poor going.
I was gonna get an aftermarket...
Thats correct.
You cannot make a car look younger, hence you cannot put a M plate (95) on a L reg (94) car.
but you can put a L plate on an M reg car etc.
