They all run crap from cold, but you're saying its got worse in the last few days?
Fuel filter is in cased in the pump housing and doesn't need to be touched until 150k or so I believe.
Its easy enough for them to check, cam caps will have to be removed and replaced, that's about half an hour to an hour to check. if its out as in the horseshoe doesn't fit into the cams you should be talking a few hours for them to adjust to the correct timing.
Cheers Mark, I found your thread whilst searching shortly after I put this one up, I've been to that paint shop forgot about it at the time, hopefully the stuff I've bought will be good for a while.
It could just be the sensor built into the lid which looks like:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-II-1998-2006-Campus-2006-2010-Brake-Fluid-Cap-Lid-Cover-Sensor-/271023098412?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AClio&hash=item3f1a3c4a2c
Check the pads and if there not low...
The usual checks when this happens is low brake fluid like above due to the brake pads wearing down therefore the level dropping, check the level on flat ground.
The sensor is in the lid of the reservoir, it gets pretty dirty around that area. Might be an idea to unplug the lid and take it off...
Yep its only to pack the gaps around the mount so they are solid and the exhaust doesn't sag over time like my previous mounts when they got old.
I realise the powerflex bushes are probably a better alternative but ill see how I get on with this first.
Yeah but then I've got to cut out the existing rubbers, and mine aren't that old, rather just pack the gaps so it holds better.
Ordered the glue, job done.
I considered them but I'm not looking to spend 80 quid on exhaust mounts at the moment mate.
Not much wrong with mine anyway just whilst I do other jobs on the car to adjust things I might pack the mounts out with glue to make them solid.
I've seen lots of people using the power flex universal exhaust hanger moulds inside the original exhaust hanger metal.
But I've also seen once or twice people packing the open holes of the exhaust mount with sealant to stop the "X" shape sagging.
Is it tiger seal that's used? any cheaper...
This is the clamp to join the cat flange to the exhaust center silencer: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150858671941?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I think it will probably come in the exhaust kit though, and even if if it didnt you could probably find it in locally.
I would...
If your installing it yourself you might need some high temp silicone.
If your old cat to center silencer clamp is nakerd you might need a 69mm clamp, on my phone now but if you want a link ill paste it in later.
Take the boot handle off which the diamond, its plastic welded onto it, then you can cut the plastic with a knife and the diamond will pop out. Its about 3 nuts holding the handle on I think.
Yeah, when I swap my center silencer over Ill give all the bolts another soaking see if it helps when the job gets done.
Hope the rest goes easy for you!
Nice work, seen the rear axle swap on the other thread, no hanging about!
Apart from the sub/f bolts, did all go according to plan? been soaking my s/f bolts in oil any time im under the car, hoping it might make the difference when it comes to swapping the box.
