lol, i didnt have my bloody fone on me either! got your text about 2 days ago, and by the time you got tehre was too dark for pics (as you can tell by the terrible top one)
last sunday i think your name was down for it! Thanks justin, believe it or not i havent properly cleaned it for over a month... i bloody love yellow cars lol
Good meet chaps, nice to catch up with edde etc. Hope everyones stomaches held this time. Big thanks to kully, donnyo, edde, giles etc. for making the effort to pop along :D
hmmm i tried copydex (similar thing) and because the paint i use isnt enamel based it reacts like buggery, and is really hard to pull off due to the thickness of the paint. That stuff may be worth a punt though as its actual masking fluid!
to start i'd use the pre-mixed ones you can get. you need to use polyester resin to stick somthing over the back, and then fill up with resin fibre.
using the matting and resining it on will provide a stronger result but just needs a little practise. halfords do sell a fastglas pack for...
well put it this way me and another member on here had our cars sent to a repair centre in telford, and both of us had terrible experiences. Not saying its all bad but defo worth considering
aye i wouldnt go with admiral again. Make a claim and they try everything to screw you over. Their bodyshop is poor and when they actually get the car back to you after 3 months its still not fixed
cheers chris :D
madhopps - in about two weeks time give the engine cover and the other bits a polish and a wax just to smooth the paint that bit more. I didnt, because you need to let the laquer fuly harden
easy lol! i'm speaking from experience when i say the plastic they use is bloody hard stuff, not as easy as you think to get the bumps out.
Foxy - use as many coats as you think, basically keep applying, leaving to dry then sanding and keep doing it till you feel its smooth.
looks stunning, white wheels much better than those superlegs! Like the exhaust as well, what is it? As said needs white side badges!
You've done her proud mate
pepsi i would have loved to have sold it to you as well!
