use a torx bit to remove the door handle bit (with the electric switches in) and the actual door handle. the electrics to the switches are just a terminal block you can disconnect. then you can remove the small section around the wing mirror and up the B pillar, this just pulls off. then...

but almost everyone has it done early for peace of mind. i'd personally get it all done in one go, expensivive but should hopefully give you some trouble free motoring
