omex 600 would be about £1,000 fitted which i wouldnt call 'cheap' myself. in fact id actually call it a 'significant amount.' you can then spend £650 on the cams, and about £500 fitting them. so its starting to add up. unless you went for a milder cam, and then a basic remap but then your...
really depends on the profile thats used. the other consideration is that you will probably want to go with a more sophisticated remap. so say something like the omex 600, and thats not a cheap mod to do.
you dont pay the tax for a 1.2, you pay the tax for a 2.0 as your car has to be re-registered as a 2.0.
if you stick a lump in and tell your insurance company without telling the dvla then you will be liable for having no road tax. so not worth the risk imo
ha ha ha. is it decatted?
may have to resort to some sounddeadening if i get desperate as it worked really well on my old car at blocking out the majority of the noise
^ thats a bit ghetto isnt it lol
would be a bit of an arse, but the main diffiuclty is in sourcing the pipe. welding would be better, but that would do, dependant on how tight the join was naturally between the two ends.
lmao. i was only talking to the gf about this topic the other day, and agreed that when i go for job interviews and the like it'll be better if i park the sunflower around the corner so as not to make a 'bad first impression' lovesit
dads also told me to 'drive in neutral' so as not to...
theres a few threads about this if you do a search where people are split between going for it if you can afford it, and other people claiming your a r****d.
there are ways of doing it, but i wouldnt bother myself.
rear bench is worth around 150. quite desirable with the doorcards for recaro owners.
as for the rsi seats they're really not worth that much. i wouldnt want to accept more than 100 for them in px, as you'll struggle to sell them on for any sort of decent price / look odd in your 172 if you...
pull the plastic bit towards you as its stuck in with three plastic plugs. this reveals the three screws you have to undo, and the electrical block you need to undo. literally takes no longer than a couple of mins
tomorrow. we'll see though if it actually turns up and/or looks like crap.
liking the new car but i hope andy hasnt been filling your head with maxogen/detailing information LMAO
you tell her! lol
had my old car fully setup on coilovers and it made a massive difference, however my un-coilovered 172 made do with a £20 4 wheel tracking at the local garage.
you need to get that sorted, as if you sell it on the buyer aint going to be impressed. especially as its chucking petrol out the back (my 1.2 averaged 50mpg)
not that sure to be honest on the diagnostics side of it
will be buying some millers gearbox oil for mine as soon as my car comes back. also a rather poor excuse to have a blast to wrexham to pick it up from demon tweeks. there loads of places locally that sell it but dont tell the missus ;)
think the millers is £50 off DT.
also quite like...
the video was taken after it was fitted, and after 10,000 miles lost a lot of its raspyness. I loved the sound of it personally
I purely posted the video because everyone was pm'ing me asking for one, so it was purely to shut them up
i'm currently swinging towards the KW myself, although i may save some money and get some cheap and cheerful FK's as i doubt my car will ever get any proper tracking and i might want it lower than KW's can provide (20mm max at the rear). i was talking to dave on here who had some KW variant 1's...
