thanks for the support guys, admiral have already told me i'm getting compensation, so i'm gonna wait to see what they offer first. Worked out that its cost me over a grand in lost insurance etc etc
Dave - thanks for the offer matey, but i'll go in the courtesy car if needs be ;)
cant take the credit for these ones ;)
Just a tip have u sanded off the lettering? if you have be careful cos they're very likley to peel due to the raw edge, i always paint mine in cos as soon as water gets in and it freezes it'll ruin em.
the thing you have to consider is that the car may have been registered multi-times by the same family.
our old punto had been owned my my mum, then my dad, then my mum again, and then my brother. so 4 owners without leaving the same household. However with the clio, the sport in particular...
looks good, but i've completly gone off slly low cars. I much prefer the ride height of say Dave02's old bus on the KW's, and i bet its much better for the car too!
DON'T go to the dealer. go to someone who knows what they're doing, and doesnt want to charge £37.50 to plug in the CLiP before they even tell you whats wrong with it. Had that from two dealers before i learnt my lesson and didnt go back.
But yes, hes right and it is almost 100% the lamba...
Dave - saw your ickle clio parked up at F1 automotive whatever down Leek Road about 3 o'clock. Then on the way home, saw it round the back.
Wasnt going to say ouwt but they did a crap job on my sunflower :clown:
Whilst at Asda this morning, saw a racing blue 182 with gordini stripes and...
i havent seen them on 3for2 for months
just seems to cost me more than everyone else. i also think i overdid them slightly as i managed to get through about 3 tins of primer, 2 tins of colour and about 1.5 of the larger lacquers lol
well nick hill said it wasnt a 90 degree bend, and hence why he suggested i didnt buy one off him. thats why i asked for pictures, and yes i am aware its only a piece of silicone.
to be fair the black one could have been alot worse with 2x5'' jap slash cut pipes :S
looking nice and low chris, and i hope andy was just practising so that when he fits mine he does a proper job lol
theres a dirt retention spray, not sure if you've been given that as it may still be in my garage lol.
just clean the entire viper without removing it. i try to let the water enter it in just one direction
didnt have trophy wheels i had some cup turinis on it for about 3 weeks. which fitted fine.
cleaning it involves some fairy liquid and some water. but try not to saturate it as it takes a couple of days to naturally dry if you do.
bonnet respray would be around £200 and you really wouldnt want a crap sprayjob on it.
i had a quote off four ashes renault for my car, front nearside (wing bumper bonnet) and a few associated little bits and that was £1.5k + spraying.
i'd love to be able to do mine for £10. last time i sprayed some it cost me over £40 in materials :S
cheapest ive been quoted off proper bodyshops is £100
