yeah hoping they pull themselves together and get it sorted.
as for star city, i will almost certainly come in the courtesy car and save some money on petrol :rasp:
when i had a standard 1.2 16v bumper my exhaust sat quite close to it. when i fitted a 172 bumper it practically touched the exhaust so i had to have it adjusted.
so the simple answer is yes, but only by a bit.
a stealth system is a performance exhaust, so it fits exactly the same, but...
Mechanically it does seem to be fine. Correct air filter/ ducting etc.etc. but my issues lie with the bodywork which has been rushed, to put it politely. I rung the bodyshop when i'd calmed down and i didnt even have to tell them, as they already knew - which infuriated me - as they knowingly...
i know makavelli had to angle grind a little bracket thing off his in order to get it fitting correctly. he paid somebody to fit it, and the cheap b******s didnt put all the screws in so it had twisted slightly.
still want somebody to post up a pic of a hillpower bend on a standard mk1 172. nick said they didnt fit quite right, but a few have fitted them so im interested in what the fit is like.
...After 91 days my car finally came back from Admirals Approved Bodyshop Elite Bodycraft. I'm not going to comment on the faults the car had on a public forum until they've been rectified, but its fair to say that it wasnt acceptable for anybody, so especially not myself who is a bit of a...
all i will say is to avoid admiral multi-car policy. i beg of you lol
but if i was in your shoes i would go with two companies and play dumb as imo its stupid to follow the rules and let the insurance companies screw you over.
about 7 tonight in B&Q. saw a naples valver pull up outside B&Q, and then i *think* i saw you inside but wasnt 100% so didnt say anything lol.
regardless, the car looked good and sounded nice :)
any bodyshop can plastic weld it for you if you want it done properly.
otherwise you could fill and repair it yourself, and then use it as an excuse to spray it up ;)
perfection should be the norm imo, but thats a different discussion ;)
i bought some mats in the cliosport group buy which made them a good buy, but considering they're supposed to be £80 i would have been disappointed to pay that much for them as the quality on mine was ok at best.
gotya! was going to say that spacers dont allow you to adjust the camber, when in fact you just need a bit of clearance ;)
as stated before you've got two options of standard ones, or hubcentric. so about £20 for 4 vs. about £40. on a 5mm it wont make much difference, but fitting standard...
you can go into any good powder coaters and view the wheels they've already done. i went with 'pewter' powdercoat on my wheels, but its a gunmetal/dark anthracite type colour with loads of flake.
just depends on how the powdercoaters name their colours. some use the RAL codes, whilst others...
why do you need spacers to set the camber as they're completely unrelated, or have i missed something in your first post.
and white16valver anything around a 25mm will do nicely. i know 25mm is a set size down at my local motor factors, so probably cheaper/easier to source.
good write up on the FK's. i am in the same boat trying to decide what suspension to go for, and so i think i'll probably opt for the FK's and spunk the change on something unnecessary lol
shame prima alloys are made of lead ;)
seriously when i had them on my old 1.2 they were twice has heavy as the genuine williams wheels, was pants!
nice pics however, and cars looking good getting my car back tonight will use you angles as inspiration! Is it lowered on fks, how are you...
