Love this car, I'd definitely change the colour of the wheels though. Looking forward to seeing how they look afterwards. What bolts are holding those wheels on? They look ace
I wouldn't go for a colour coded diamond personally but that's just my opinion. RS grill is always a good idea, I think they look better sprayed black because they're a dark grey originally (or at least mine was when I bought it), yellow fogs would look good too i reckon. But these are all...
Looking to get a 172 rear bumper soon so that would need to be sprayed to match my car, also looking to get the front bumper insert plastics cc'd. Anyone recommend somewhere near Bristol? I don't need flawless but a decent finish and cheap.
Thanks
Yeah I'll be needing that airbag Dan. Just took off my non-sport airbag and tried it out but it's a slightly different colour, more of a dark blue than a black... curse you Renault.
Anthracite 2118s = so much win!
As you said, it could do with a bit of lowering. Any other plans? Perhaps some little things to freshen it up? (e.g. silvervisions, 197 style sport badge etc.)
I should really look into things before buying them... haha. Could get a 172 airbag off ebay for £16 posted. Unless my standard, non-sport airbag would fit it the same? Looks the same shape but not sure about the colour match. A job for the weekend I think :)
I know, I'm actually struggling to believe it! On the reply email i put, "I hereby agree to pay the additional £150.00 (one hundred and fifty pounds) sterling..."
Just to make doubly sure that was the amount :P
It's been a bit of good and bad today, MOT cost me £100 and advisories were 2 new...
Haha I probably should've said apart from the actual buttons :P I didn't think 172s had cruise control so wouldn't have the gap for the buttons? Or could it be because the airbag is from a 182 steering wheel? Could I get like blank buttons to go there or something? It would annoy me to have...
Next addition to match the interior:
I was sold this as a 172 steering wheel but it seems to have gaps where the cruise control buttons and stuff were. Does anyone know if there is anything I can get to cover up these gaps?
agreed, especially since this is the first year of no claims too.
Hold on a second, I'll double check...
Hmm nope, definitely no vagina. Just a small, misshapen growth, ew.
No but they seem more than happy to insure me anyway, possibly because I have my mum as a named driver?
I imagine there's a law against them refusing to insure men anyway, surely there's something that stop blatant discrimination?
I'm a bit hesitant to post this because it seems too good to be true, genuinely scared that they missed a 0 off the end of the price. But I received an email from Diamond today, here it is:
"Dear Mr Barnett
Thank you for contacting us about your policy, registration BV02LCU.
I am writing to...
I will likely be cancelling straight away as this would give me time to search around for other quotes, rather than having to decide then and there. What I may have to do is remove all the mods and insure it as standard because this would drop the price significantly.
Ideally I'd like to keep...
Right cheers, I'll call them and cancel the policy tomorrow.
Thanks for the help everyone who contributed and actually read what I said in the first post.
I was at the placement all week so was 400 miles. Plus I was then going back to Wrexham from Bristol at the weekend so that's another 150 miles.
It wouldn't have been a problem but part of their policy they install a box to monitor everything, so they knew exactly how many miles I'd done, not...
it started on the 11th so I'll ring them tomorrow. Would it be best to cancel the policy tomorrow before I search for other quotes so that at least that way I have my money back rather than gambling on the quote they give me being the cheapest?
