Those seats look comfy!
For the harnesses have a read of this http://www.msar.co.uk/pdf/UsersGuideRacingHarness.pdf
The rears have to be wrapped around the bar, the other way looks like is could twist the belt and cause horrible angles on your back in an impact. The lower mounting points...
Morning chaps.
Got a niggling issue with the EPAS on my track car which I want to get sorted before booking any track time.
The steering in the centre is extremely light and twitchy no matter which setting I put the EPAS on. After this light centre bit the resistance appears to be normal (for...
The injector test is easier to do that swapping the lambda so I'd wait until the weekend, test those and if one isn't obviously on the waft then swap back the lambdas and do a back to back comparison.
I'm not 100% sure about the lambda behavior but when on open loop the lambda isn't in use so...
OK, so. I'm no expert but it looks to me like the lambda is functioning correctly. It's just switching between closed loop (where the ECU uses the narrow band lambda sensors reading) and open loop where it uses preset values. Usually open is under acceleration and closed for idle, light...
Probably would do the trick as it looks like a copy of the snap on tool.
What about something like this used in reverse and turned with a ratchet spanner? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Teng-TENM380037-M380037-Socket-Adaptor-3-8in-Male-Hex-/351638386475?hash=item51df47f72b:g:5a8AAOSwJQdXBYpe...
Title says it all really. I've just taken the 182 on holiday and knew it used oil so took some with me. Didn't expect to use the whole bloody bottle though. Am I right in thinking that this kind of usage without a huge hole in my sump is piston rings? The engine has FSH but is now on 150k and...
Experiences of cars turning them selves off in the past for me have been crank sensors. It's a common problem on clios and I had it on a lupo as well.
Did you notice if the fuel pump was running when you were trying to restart it?
If the IAT/MAP sensor lost connection it would turn the car off...
These are the ones I got http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/600745365
They did try and supply some that were 240mm for some reason but I put in a different 1*2 reg and it came up with these :)
That's a shame Keith but definitely don't break it! You'll regret it and buy another down the line. You've got cams though yeah?
A ktec induction is a long way to the sound of bodies without the expense :) mine sounds crackers with 438s and one of those.
On the rears I got some eicher discs from ebay and had bearings pressed in, think they were £40 a set then. Front CL RC5+ and brembo HC discs. Fluid, don't have much experience but currently have typ200.
Just for reference matey. These are the ones I took off my non-cup 182 and these are the lemforders I replaced them with. The nut is approximately where the TRE goes up to.
No not at all. The only difference is the rocker cover breather which can be swapped over from your current engine. There is no difference in the actual engine it's self. As yours is a 182 the lower inlet will be an "RS" variation so that has to be swapped too. All easy though. Only the ph1s had...
That one Dan has is actually the one he's just a bad salesman.
This is what Russel put on the post
172 engine for sale.
172 engine on 76k, perfect runner when removed.
This came from I car I broke, I was planning on fitting it into my 182, but I've decided to also break my spare 172 I have and...
There was one for sale on the facebook group which had all compression readings and a leak down carried out before removal, that's what you really want as atleast it gives you more confidence.
I bought a tensioner tool, MOT1368 as recommended in the Renault service book and I didn't use it as it's awkward and really you need a ratchet one for easy changes. The end you need is also 3/8 instead of the 1/2" on the tool. The jubilee clip method is much better. Need one which is about 90mm.
I've used a plastic square bung from ebay, cost me about a quid. Yet to put silicon around it but it does the job. Think they're the things you see in the end of office furniture, just silicon it in.
Yes you can change just the boot. You'll need to take the track rod end and nut off but if you measure the thread and position of the TRE on the tie rod you're tracking should remain when you reassemble.
Can't remember if I said before but it could be the lambda. Both of my clios occasionally popped when the lambda started to go. Unplug it and take it for a drive to see if there's a difference.
If you think it's the injectors you need to test their resistance when they're stone cold, even after...
What an absolute steal you got there! I'll be at brands somepoint over the summer so will let you know when I'll be there.
Was the vibration a collapsed tripod on the driveshaft?
I thought it was yellow spot ha. I'm not sure if it's really true that it needs to be recalibrated on CLIP if it's a turn out you should just be able to turn it back although I find it highly unlikely you'd have moved it when changing the wheel. The boss has the little wings on it to turn the...
