That's my question. I have a 3 point harness and harness bar on the cage. Can I only mount 4+ point harnesses to a bar or am I inventing a problem here.
Has anyone got any pictures of the fixing their lap belts are mounted too? Want to start on this soon :) if you're cars been through scrutineering then that's a bonus :)
How have I missed so many of these updates in the last week. Why don't you try another bolt from the rear subframe things.
172 Cage!! Quick, get it in. If Lauren doesn't go nuts mines going in this weekend......
That's for everything.
Power cable is for the steering column ECU abs you'll need to run an earth cable from that too. Best to get plug with the ecu so you can splice on these cables.
12v live and earth for control box just splice into existing loom
That's a myth mate. The fuel pick up is on the bottom of the tank so it makes no difference anyway. I think people used to have problems with their fuel tanks rusting and then blocking up the carb.
I've taken a few tanks out of cars now and never found any grubbyness in the tank.
I wouldn't bother unless it's giving you problems. The water pump is powered by the aux belt so if it goes it's not a big job anyway. Never have understood why people always change it with the cambelt.
Do the dephaser as that's a job to be done with the cambelt.
I pretty much get 500 to a tank although have seen over 750 when being careful and the turbo wasn't ruined. Now I struggle to get over 58mpg on the dash though no matter what I do. Most of the time it's flat out on the motorway or town driving so never going to be good.
You can get 48l in the...
Try and give it a jump start as the battery be kaput. That would be my first point of call
No they aren't at all. Maybe the lambda is gone although I've never had a 1.2 so can't comment particularly on matters specific to your engine size.

I went a bit nuts with the polisher and went through the paint, woops. The story goes "I went so fast the paint started coming off"
This bit fell on the ground and chipped.
All in all I think it looks silly and because of that I love it. New name, Shrek.
I bought my DCI on 106k with no service history and now at 143k it's still going strong. No doubt the work and maintenance I've carried out has taken it happily to this mileage and will likely see it go for thousands more. Lauren's DCI was bought with 90k on, loads of SH, owned by someone who...
if you want resistors its m3r3 from maplin or as Dan said, Renault CLIP can have the lights of very fast, it's a case of changing one setting from with to without
Well, not with all that gubbins. Just the belt kit and timing tools.
My water pump is non gen, cost £20 and hasn't exploded yet. Alt belt £10 and coolant about £15. Bargaintastic. I hope you've got A/C because if not the manual tension is hateful. I've only changed the water pump on one of our...
Cheers Dan. I forget about this car now I have the other one but remember why it's a goodun when I scrub her up.
Lol at the cambelt. Our van was 60k over due and didn't go pop. Really easy job to do yourself though and costs less than £50.
Get the mount!!! gives you 30 bhp and impresses the...
I think it's about 143k now although it goes up quite quickly so I may be wrong. Still going strong :) I learnt by giving it a go, never worked in a garage but just researched everything thoroughly before committing. First mechanical job I did was boring out my 50cc ped. It all went from there...
Did a little bit of work on the workhorse today. Had one job to sort which had been bugging me.
Last weekend I noticed an odd noise coming from the car. Heard it a few times before on the motorway but thought nothing of it. Pulled up at the petrol station and something smelt like burning rubber...
a sixteen year old walk past and today and said he thought the exhaust was really cool....maybe I should keep it! He did however say he wanted his first car to be a fiesta so I'm not so sure.
Thanks for the offer matey. I've butchered my old ones now to fit! Finally!
Couple of little updates...
not a 1.2 but I have a non-sport which has had quite a bit done to it since I got it http://www.cliosport.net/threads/grahams-ocd-ph2-dci-sport-rep.720172/
