I think that's fair enough. The oil flush isn't really a solve for much but saying there's no point in changing the oil when you'd have to drop it again is right and saved you money. Don't drive it as the oil flush will make the oil like water. If the pump has gone the chain may be in the sump...
I have exactly the same with a mk4 so understand that dilema, especially the refinement part. Had a long run in a 325d recently and it was the most relaxing 200 miles ever, not like the Clio which makes me feel stressed!
I have to say I'm ruddy chuffed with them. Must resist putting them on until the weather gets better!
Thank you mate, there's always room for tweaks here and there ;)
I'm sure it doesn't! Speed is one thing this barge doesn't have the joy of. I didn't in the end and have decided to run them as...
a rod type thing is what it is. I went to adjust it last weekend and it's got all the original Renault red thread mark on it. Look at the first page of my project thread. Noone would try and up the boost on that piece of crap ;)
Don't sell it. The saving owning a diesel is so good that doing a long commute in anything more juicy is like being robbed. My 182 only really worked for me when I had the DCI as my run about so you'll regret it!
Bargain on the TRE!
That was my thoughts as well so makes total sense! I couldn't quite work out why it wouldn't have this problem lower down in the gear range but guess it's injecting a lot more fuel in to achieve the same revs when at speed so the gas volume is much bigger. I'll swap the wastegate this weekend...
Hi Mike
They are the same as the 172 can be retrofitted with cruise control. ESP is done by the ABS so separate. It would be cheaper for you to get a complete ECU kit, just make sure the UCH type n2 or n3 is the same.
Firstly it's a DCi, not in the title to lure you petrol turbo people in too! It's almost the same thing ;)
Since I've had the car the coil light has always come on when flat out on the motorway. I fitted a boost guage a couple of days ago and have now been able to witness what happens. Always...
Ahh, very interesting. So to cup pack a car you just change to a cup pack subframe and if you want the castor swap over the wishbones. I learnt something today! :)
had et43 on my car with 15mm on the front and back didn't rub. Back was close though. Front will be totally fine unless you're really low. Rear I would have 5mm spacers max with et35
I don't know if that's totally right mate. Subframe is part of it but there is also a difference in the hubs, tie rods, wishbones and driveshafts on the cups. Appreciate some of the track will come from the frame but it's the combination of the parts which gives the full set up. Rear axle has a...
Just keep the standard. You will never notice a difference the gain if there is one which isn't guaranteed. I bought one for my first ever car and was so disappointed with it. Better to spend you money on something else or save it for a rainy day.
Will be fitting a boost gauge to the clio to monitor levels when I install a boost controller. Just want somewhere to mount it where it doesn't look stupid, doesn't require fibreglassing and is still easy to look at. I'm not keen on having it on the pillar.
Thank you everyone
I think the dials are the same in every car and regardless they just do what the ecu/uch tells them to. They aren't part of the kit so your current clocks will be fine.
The diagnostics goes through the airbag ecu. Would take some programming on clip to remove the ABS so it is probably best to...
Got the alloys back and am very pleased with how they turned out. Will put them on when the weather gets a little better.
Replacing the injector seal has made the car run quite a bit better which is good and the egr valve cured the intermittent no boost problem.
Ordered a Tim superdash boost...
solid red light.
Try the small relay in the engine bay fuse box. Seen 3 go.

@rsdan that looks lovely mate. I'd have a Monaco rep if I could.
Couple of jobs on the car today
One of the injectors was leaking so I replaced the copper washer. Had been leaking for quite some time as you can see. I also tried to adjust the turbo actuator but one of the nuts was stuck so I...
Crikey buddy I thought you'd done a load more to it than was up yesterday. You went billet flywheel in the end!!! They've changed the design of it; there didn't used to be the holes on the edge. RC6 will be amazing, my old rc5+ were fantastic, let alone the next step up.
Spend a couple of...
Car is getting pretty filthy now because of the salty roads but I'm still on a high from the arb fix. Decided to finally get my Turinis refurbished for summer after they'd sat in the garage for ages waiting for me to attempt to paint them. Time efficiency won in the end so I dropped them at at...
