182 Changed Washer Pump, Still No Screenwash

Thanks, good idea, at least that will provide me with screen wash I guess, though I suppose only when the headlights are on? The pump is already new, and tested working. If it is the stalk at fault wouldn't it prevent the headlight washer working also?

182 Changed Washer Pump, Still No Screenwash

No, rear screen wash doesn't work either, that runs from the same pump as the front screen.

182 Changed Washer Pump, Still No Screenwash

Thanks. If the lines were clogged that wouldn't stop the pump whirring would it? It is silent. There are 2 pumps, one for both the front and rear screens, and one for the headlights wash, as far as I am aware.

182 Changed Washer Pump, Still No Screenwash

After the 182 was sitting sorned under a larch tree for 3 months (not a good idea!), the screen washer pump didn't work, no noise from the pump. When pulling the stalk with the lights on, the headlights wash would work, but not the screen. I've previously sanded the piece inside the pump that...

Royal Steering Wheels - Clio 182

How good a match is the "printing" on the new leather to that on the airbag cover?

    Humming, but not bearings

Turned out to be a very strange wear pattern to the offside rear tyre. More than a flat spot, there were undulations on the surface of the tyre. So that's that noise solved I reckon. Also surprised at wear on the front tyres. The tyre fitter I had asked to put the 2 new tyres on the rear of the...

    F1 GSD3s, only around 5K old I think.

    Humming, but not bearings

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know, but the noise was the same before the rear discs were changed. I'll have a look. The shocks are fairly new, and I don't think there is much adjustment in the alignment on the rear? Thanks. I'll head to a local tyre place this morning, check the...

    Humming, but not bearings

Symptoms are a hum from the rear of the car, starts around 25mph and gets louder and higher pitched with speed. Loudest after accelerating to 70 odd then backing off. It's not bearings as both rear discs just replaced. Checked tyre pressures, and no apparent movement/sounds on front bearings...

    RS Tuner For Diagnostics?

Thanks both for the replies. So it doesn't actually have any of the additional functionality of the Renault Clip, in terms of Renault specific diagnostics?

    RS Tuner For Diagnostics?

How good is the RS Tuner diagnostic capability? I'm assuming somewhere between a generic OBDII reader and a Renault Clip - is that correct? Any feedback gratefully received. Cheers.

    Headunit

Sorry to but in to the thread, but there's some useful info here. I have the standard head unit (04 182) and the plugin pioneer front speaker and tweeter upgrade. The sound is pretty poor, particularly using the radio. Is there a lot I can do to upgrade the sound whilst keeping the original...

    Headunit

The adaptor for the stalk and display states it is compatible with Clios from 2005 to 2009, does that mean it is compatible with Update List only - do you know?

    182 Steering wheel bubble fix?

It can be restored, and it's relatively easy, but very messy. Use leather prep from furniture clinic with an abrasive pad (take the wheel off first, you will not believe the mess) to remove all the melted leather coating. You'll then be left with a smooth but faded steering wheel, apply some...

cliosport......i could really do with a bit of help on handling :(

I've just replaced the front dampers and top mounts on my Clio 182 (2004 non cup), all new Renault parts supplied by the great chaps at Wolverhampton. The tracking was not initially done and the car drove very badly. No self centring on the steering on tight lock, and car wandering mid-corner...

Goodyear Eagle F1's or Hankook V12's

Just had a pair of Eagle F1 GSD3s in 205/45 16 delivered from Camskill, tyres date May 2013 - seems that they are back in manufacture!

Non RS Dash & Door Trim

I would like to have the centre console trim and door grab handles in my 182 painted, but the rubberised finish on them is a pain. Is there the exact same trim pieces on a lower 3 door model with a hard finish, does anyone know?

Immobiliser won't go off when new key in ignition

Mick, if I drive the car to you, does the car have to display the problem whilst I am there (it is intermittent), or does the network infrastructure test store past problems also? My life would be so much easier if I lived near a specialist..

Immobiliser won't go off when new key in ignition

I couldn't get to the bolts on the earth strap (even with the airbox off) but gave it a good wiggle and the car worked fine for a couple of days. Now it's back to the starting problem. A local garage thinks it's the crankshaft sensor - would this cause the solid red light?

Immobiliser won't go off when new key in ignition

Thanks - can I reach that without a ramp? Also, does anyone know of a trader in South Wales with a clip so that the problem can be identified? Just in case anyone has really good problem solving skills - this happens much more often when the car is parked facing down a slope than facing up!

Immobiliser won't go off when new key in ignition

Mick, Sorry to drag up an old thread but it describes perfectly the problem with mine (04 182). What was an intermittent problem is now happening everyday. The red light stays on, and then it won't start. I've checked the UCH fuse in the passenger dash fuse box, and there is no corrosion on...

FINALLY - Top mount modified part from Renault!

Fred, is there a definitive answer on the new insert (R82 00 867 250)? Will it stop the creaking if used with original top mounts?

Front End Suspension Refresh Parts Prices!

Daniel, Cheers for the reply, and for the discount tip, I've found the 25% code. If Fred (and you) go for Lemforder then that's good enough for me. Just a bearing to source now.

Front End Suspension Refresh Parts Prices!

I have an 04 182 Non-cup with 35K on the clock. It has the typical creaking top mounts on full lock, a front wheel bearing drone (not sure which side), a "wobble" in the steering above 60 (the car tracks straight, but the steering wheel constantly moves left/right around 1cm), and a few clunks...

    Alcantara help...

Yes the Alcantara in the RS Clios is genuine, but lots of people use non-genuine when covering parts. The official UK importer for Alcantara can be found at http://www.ukhide.co.uk or on eBay as seller ukhide. They sell by the metre length (1.4m width) at around £77 per metre. From the...
