ive been thinking abou this for a while, and today i finally (perhaps stupidly!) decided that im going to do it. now before you all say "get a GTT conveersion" or whatever, the reason i wanna do this is becuase im pplanning to do it myself, and the GTT i know next to sh*t about and know you...
looked at eibachs, they dont give you a huge job but are rated v.highly for improved driving? gonna get myself some AVO 40mms i think soon, just need the cash!
my best mistake was when i put a new cyl head on...spent 2 days reconning it (skimmed, new springs / stem seals / etc...) and then put it on the micra. everything apparently done, i went to start her, and she just misfired, occasionally backfiring in the carb! i was mortified and bitterly...
ok yeah i think youre (like i was) only scared of doing a job if you dont know the function of the components(s) youre touching.
imean, you dont need to get too techie about things like changing plugs / oil etc, but if you dont understand the mechanics behind it you wont be 100%sure you cant...

I am after an overview of how the ECU system in general works, ie what sensors look out for what, how the fuel / air is managed, etc. i know it would take forever for someone to explain on here so ill save you that!
anyone know any websites that would help with this?
this flash updfate of the ECU you talk about ben- is that to make sure the car has the latest revision of the software program for the car?
if so is it worth asking them to flash your motor so that the car has the latest one too? do they ake any difference?

think he means the landscape continues even through the car...nice job, still photoshopped tho IMO - wheres the evidence hes moving, like slightly blurred wheels, blurred motor lines / blurred background?! ;)
ok you have 17s on at the moment? just get a tape measure and measure ground clearance at the moment, it will be then roughly 60mm lower after the drop.
wouldnt have thought you can keep the same diameter with 17s as opposed to the standard 13s that are on, even with low-pros.my 15s make the car look like an off-roader, and thats 2 ins under what u are after!
chris - could be that the throttle cable hasnt been replaced properly if it was taken off? i read in the haynes manual that it needs to be precisely adjusted if the engine is to idle properly
