"Graffiti"
Here goes again. Vote will be open until Sunday night. Think it's important to stress this time around, you are voting for the best photograph...not the best graffiti!
Please choose the number of the photograph you think is best and select it in the poll when it magically...
Classic Carnival this weekend at Castle Combe, missed Saturday (and the Saloon carnage) due to a wedding but went along today, still absolutely love the Lotus Cortinas, look so much fun to drive (go sideways more than forward)...
amd the Historic Saloon Race had driver changes...
Spent a day over in Weston today, so many photo opportunities but didn't really do it justice, I still struggle with people in my photos, need to take more brave pills!
Popped over to Combe this morning as I had some free time, it was a test day for this weekends Historic event, not a great deal out on track but the legendary Capri more than made up for it. Not quite sure how long this has been racing at Combe, appears in programmes from 1980 so at least that...
As challenges go this was a tough one
- Hottest day of the year (i.e. incredibly bright)
- One lens (50mm)
- No Tripod/Gorillapod/Monopod or any kind of support
So an unexpected trip to a waterfall wasn't exactly going to be easy, particuarly as I've been reading about 'milky water'...
Congrats to Jezz for the victory in the last round with this image depicting the subject 'Running Water'...

Take one Nikon D50 and 80-200 lens, start your panning sequence at 1/160...
Continue to shoot in burst mode, sharpening up the shot with smoother panning...
Then don't realise your panning has taken you behind a fence post...

Went to my first proper event at Brands Hatch today as I'm determined to like the place. Anyway, I didn't! A few pics, pretty poor to be honest but a few ok ones in there...

Bit surreal this, they close the entrance to Longleat House and turn it into a Hillclimb for the weekend. Great fun and very very popular (full turn-out of 150 competitors today, another 150 tomorrow)
Was stupidly windy which meant photos were a little challenging, but here goes...

Dragged my ass down to this even though I only got in a few hours earlier from seeing Mark Ronson and Calvin Harris the night before. Was worth it, anyhow, haven't seen the British GTs for 2 or 3 years now since they got banned from Castle Combe...
:) Bought the magazine as usual in Tesco this evening, had a bit of a shock when I got home and flicked through, first competition I've entered this year and I got a runners up spot.
The shot below got me through to Stage 2 of Photographer of the Year 2008 in the Category of 'Movement' and...

Canon are chasing all those people that have been buying the new entry level Nikons (D40/60) in their hundreds of thousands... ;)

My efforts from the day here. I say day, but the shocking weather meant a 4hr drive just for me to get there, so I was absolutely shattered when I arrived, then I had another 3.5hr journey home! Not my greatest of days off, but at least I got a few photos.
So not as many pics this year (100...

Arrived in Prescott nice and early this morning and as I was pretty much the first person to arrive I found a lonely Bugatti Veyron (the works one) sat under it's gazeebo. Sadly I only had a 50mm lens with me so options were a bit limited.
A few pics...
Then it went out...
Whenever I get back from a motorsport event I usually spend between 1 and 2 hours sorting out around 600-800 photos, including a few minor colour tweaks (not that I knew what I was doing) and maybe a crop, and that was it.
I shared a few pics elsewhere and somebody kindly did a 're-edit' for...
