No i have a totaly fooked 16v engine and a a1 condition megane engine. So i wanna know how much work and what is needed exactly for the whole megane engine to go in the clio. How much is a 16v head gonna set me back and who will sell just a head?

After being told that my big end bearings had gone i went and bought a Megane 2l engine to use the bottom end. Now after stripping the 16v engine down its revealed that the bearings are ok, but a piston is compleatly smashed theres all metal flakes in my inlet manifold and part of the head is...

Yeah you can, or ur 16v one or a williams one oreven a r19 one if u really wanna. Not sure what the best box would be tho? Dont know what the ratios are like.

I hope not!! It is as straight forward as bolting it on. Need the megane starter and the 16v flywheel tho.

Getting mine done as we speak mate. Shold be able to answer most questions for you. ECU needs a 1.8/2.0 chip £175 odd from hill power. The power gains should be very good. Quicker than a standard willy. bout 155bhp to 165. Cams can stay the same, or u can up grade for extra power.

Just spoke to the good pople at bb and they said that williams and megane head gaskets are only slightly different if at all and wouldnt be a prob fitting them to the other engine.

Will have one for sale soon. Only 2 years old done 10k miles. Even have the recept for it still (£140 odd)

I dont think so, again not 100% sure. Think the megane one is closer to the williams than a 16v.

When you finaly get the car back make sure all your electrics work. Could even complain at renault and say your stereo has stopped workin.

Nick didnt say they were the same, i didnt ask. He just said i need a williams one, and ive later heard that its the same as a 2.0l megane. Dont wanna get the megane one fitted then it blow!

Do a williams and a 2.0l megane use the same head gaskets? Been told they do, but was told by Nick Hill i need a williams one. Anyone shed some light?

I got a engine mout instead of a rocker cover gasket? They couldnt even tell me what the mout was for!

If you need a part quickly, dont bother going to them! Waited nearly 2 weeks for a part to come down from birmingham, and now they tell me it may not be in their delivery as Birmingham may have sold it before. Was promised this part for Monday this week 3 times by 2 different people. Really...

Did use heat resistant paint on it too? I used heat resistant paint the got it sprayed, still starting to flake a bit on the edges now.

Its not a easy job. Only need to take the head light out and jack the engine up a bit. Ive changed mine bout 4 times!!!

No point on any car really, unlesss its had more work done to it. Its only a adjustable fule regulator.
