If we need to we can use titanium plates as they can be machined super thin and possibly will be needed anyway to get the driveshaft angle perfect and align this mount with the gearbox accurately.
I like your thinking, mainly because it matches mine though I was thinking computer processors!
I thought about making the whole mount surface like that but went solid in the end due to the machining costs. We'll test the temperatures everything gets to and see if its enough. We have a backing...
We are well into unchartered waters and theres nothing to really compare to. I'll have a duct of some sort coming into this area as its also worth keeping wategates cool for longevity. The aluminium will work well as a heat sink and I'll make a removable heatshield round the bearings out of...
The missus has just bought a 1.2 town car for going back to and forth from work and its actually really good for what it does. Knowing that its only a 1.2 means I never try to drive it fast and its really frugal on fuel compared to our last car. Cheap parts to maintain and cheap on daily running...
I like to keep those so when trying to access the bearing with everything in the way I can accidently cut myself; cursing about why I didnt fit an Evo engine instead
Got this on one month trial. Downloading Halo 5 at the moment!
What good split screen co-op games have come out for the xbox one? I need to justify the extra £40 expense on a second controller!
Theres always a balance to be found from the initial design to something that can be affordably manufactured. I wanted the water cooling between the bearing and the engine but the inlet manifold above was so close we'd have fitment issues. The alloy hopefully will stay cool enough though that it...
Yes and no. The project had to take a backburner a little as I'm too busy with the day to day workload. This means we wont be doing a full season of Time Attack this year as I cant get it ready. I have some custom bits being made in America and some more in China so its a little bit of a waiting...
AO.com were just under £400 and could deliver tomorrow - comes with Fifa and the two Forza games on digital download. There were some slightly cheaper deals on ebay but they would only arrive next week.
Where is the best place to get the X?. Been using the old Xbox and all the live services are not supported now so its time to upgrade. Might actually get me playing a few games again as I'm itching for some GT racing sim (if there is one...)
Going to pee the missus off - we've been talking about...
Lots of my customers have high end performance cars and buy Mk2 Clios as the cheaper fun track car.
They are not cheap per-say to modify and its easy to get carried away with lots of cool parts but relative to modifying your Evo - its a bargain.
The Compbrake kit is great for track use but I'd swap out the pads for alternatives for road use. The discs have curved vanes which is not often an option for the Clio
We do these discounted. With the benefits of the 4 pot and larger disc heat capacity they are quite a lot better than the...
About £720 which is a lot! The Supersprint is the better of the two though and has a stealth backbox.
We do a limited edition race supersprint but thats only a tenner cheaper and is a larger 2.5" bore so not right for mildly tuned Clios.
Unfortunately for the UK one company came up with a cheap system and everyone predominantly bought that over anything else on offer. Therefore pretty much everyone else discontinued their ranges. I think now I only deal with Supersprint and Bastuck for the 172 but they are more for EU customers...
If the brakes are lacklutre then give the calipers an overhaul but i'd say its just the way a single caliper piston wears slightly unevenly. My car went through 4 years of MOT advisories of 'mild' corrosion on the discs. Brakes were fine in reality.
What makes you think the springs are AST? Mostly those are grey or black, or kits using Eibach springs...If theres no paperwork for the coilovers expect them to be the cheapest ones...
The Whiteline is cheaper and a fit and forget item. The way it mounts gives no adjustment - I would fit this to a road car primarily.
The PMS mounts differently and is adjustable. Its more expensive but if you are running a track car I wouldnt fit anything else.
You can buy both here...
I can supply you.
Usually I'd say go for the plain Brembo unless you really want the looks or need the extra cooling of the Xtra discs.
If you want a little bit more confidence on braking bite, keep standard at the back and pep up the front a little to give some more initial bite.
Bilstein race suspension. I'd argue they were too stiff even for most tracks. Made them dramatic to watch though but a softer setup is really needed for 99% of people.
Heres the stuff! For the cost they are rather great value for money. If its a dedicated track day car then 9 or 10kg fronts will be what you need.
BC dont rebuild the dampers. You just get a replacement and swap it for the old one. Ds ones are £120 each currently so about the same cost as you'd...
