Been using Avast for years now, can't fault it for a free app. If you can find out the name of the virus you may be better to do a google search for removal procedures as most AV programs will not remove all of the virus components.

My HU does not use flash drives or USB extension leads, it has 1GB of flash memory built into the face plate of the HU for storing mp3's, if you do a search on caraudiosecurity you will find the extensions.
