What's wrong with the Clio Jay? Toby, I have a system to wash my car outside my house, I have a tap out the back, and then I have "clean hose" that I keep in the house, the clean hose attaches to the back tap, runs through the house to the front garden where it plugs into the outside hose...

Did you do a compression test Mark? We had the exact same thing on an Alfa this weekend and it was the MAF sensor. If unplugging it solves the problem, bob's your mothers brother.
