Shame you were missing the black ph1, would have made for some cracking photos otherwise.
Looks a good meet though, even if you were all just standing there speaking in some silly accent none of you can really understand.
Welcome to the club, few things to help you out.
You want a skoda splitter, they're a 10th of the price of the Cio item and a will bend, not snap. Part number is easily available if you search.
Wheels, there's a recent thread in which Daniel recommends someone really good in bristol, why not...
LOL!
Dan I can't believe you've gone over to the darkside, any reason you've moved away from the mk2's? I thought you'd never go mk3 as you're such a mk1 man that even a ph2 must have seemed a compromise.
Is the old engine worth nothing in bits????
At least try and reclaim a bit there. Sad to hear though, what was up with it in the end? You sounded so positive.
Just read back, you're selling stuff???? Don't do it. Just be patient, save up the grand. Why get rid of things you'll only have to buy...
So Mr. "hated my jap import because everything went wrong and it cost me a fortune" has bought another? You're utterly mental mate!
As for the car, I'd hope a good interior clean, some new mats and a damn good polish etc will leave it looking retro cool rather than old like it does now...
I already pointed this out and he checked them. I'd say that's the top mount moving about myself though.
One other thing to check is that some plum hasn't copper greased the two strut bolts or something....?
