Yup, CS seems to devalue cars instantly. Trade price on a 55 plate with 30k miles is £6k (Feb price) So adjust for millage etc.... Its a shame CS undervalues cars so much. I think we are to blame for all the low RS prices ;)

No, i dont think so, it simply has no working airbags or pre-tensioners. Altho with it recording an accident already i think they are already disabled now.

If you are willing to send the unit off id save the money and do that, works out SO much cheaper. pre-tensioners can be picked up easily. Otherwise id consider getting quote from dealer for full job and/or insurance claim possibly.

Right, The pre-tensioners can be replaced easily by yourself. Sourced either new or second hand. BUT because they have fired now, the airbag computer records this as an accident. This has to be replaced (So Renault say) or "Reset". If replacing it, the new one has to be configured by Renault...

Normally 4 digits. Its usually on the first pager of the service manual or handbook on a printed sticker.

I think they have the Renault 10 year paint warrenty or something? Check the service/car book, im sure i read something about a paint warrenty. Makes no difference about the car warrenty. Altho it has to be damage free etc.... and they will probably blame it on stone chips causing it lol.

I think its the same bulb that goes in the screen display for the radio/clock. Its a very small bulbs, unsure of type at the mo. Im pretty sure that panel needs taking off for you to access it tho, can be a pain in the ass tho! Maybe listed in the haynes manual if you have one handy.

It is really down to the company you are with and what protocol they use. Some companies are pretty quick, have the car collected and assessed within days. Some take a while to collect, assess and approve the repairs. Give your company a ring, speak to the dept dealing with it. Altho again...

Still classed as a claim. Just a "Non-fault, excess recovered" type of claim. If you claim on your insurance or anyone elses, still a claim which has to be declared. Most companies have a drop down menu with many types of answers for it.
