Didnt get around to lowering the car before i sold it...it seems logical to me that that may have made the problem worse.
The wheels were ET37 and 7x17
This is future required info for the 182 that i have an want to upgrade the alloys on
Hi All,
Noticed today that my 182 doesnt have locking nuts..should it have them?
It has the removeable cap but that isnt very secure!!
Do i need special ones (had to get a special set for my old OZ wheels)
Is it best to get them from Renault of anywhere else and also rough estimate on...
Hi,
I used to own a silver Mk2 172 and put 17" OZ Titans on it(see pic)
now i think it looked pretty nice and read somewhere that they fit on without problems..well when i hit bumps they would rub and it made me nervous about driving the car hard just in case it damaged the tyre leading to a...
Just continued with the silver 2.016v side badge them with mine.
Have a silver aerial and tax disc holder with yellow renault logo.
2 Cliosport stickers on the rear quarter windows and a carbon fibre private plate with R5 at that start...bit of illegal cutting and the 5 looks a little like...
Got a quote for the G5..Daz
From that webpage link is says £399 for the system i want..the 650
Asked how much all in with the roll ups and they want another £150!!
Can that be right?..the module on my concept 300 was only £60 extra fitted
Installed the Sony CDX9900 today and well impressed..it looks very nice in replacment of the std sh*te!!
Great features and sounds better with my infinity speakers!
Now all i gitto do is plumb in the amp and sub to get that extra kick.
Seems a good add on and would stop people tracing the wires and bypassing it....but if anyone is serious enough to get past all the other features to do that theyll probably just lift your car up onto the back of a trailer!
Personally unless you have money to burn might be an idea to skip that...
I think ill put in an order for the 650 Cat 1.
Whats the best variation?...dont want false alarms or people testing the exterior proximty so will probably opt for internal or glass break..do these ones roll up the windows std or with an additional unit?
might give them a call prior to...
No one cleans my car except me.
If one of those immagrant windscreen cleaners at traffic lights tries their sh*t i will run them down!
Always use a seperate chamois leather for the body and door shuts (dont wanna rub grease down the body...uuugghhhh!!)
Polished twice a year..start and end...
I am also with direct line...£580 full comp with protected NCB+ car hire etc etc.
Got 7 years NCB.
Seems about right if you want the extras although with 7 years without a claim you start to wonder!
I am recording all of them just in case i am away when Sunday 8:00 comes!
I am recording them onto dvd so will try and get the footage saved onto the pc and then will post the link for people to view.
I am thinking of putting a Clifford alarm onto my 182.
Does anyone have any advice on these? basically i want remote arming and locking with glass break or equivalent plus a few other features inc window closure.
I know the window roll ups cost around £50 for a pair and i hav around £400 to...
I though the handling was a bit funny..headed out of bracknell the other day and blasted up the road.
Was going round a bend and it seemed a little unsteady but as i was doing 110mph i thought that may have been the reason!!
Still ..i like that feeling that you arent too distanced from what...
The FM transmitter bit means that a std stereo that does not have RCA cable inputs can receive auxilary inputs via the std aerial lead.
This is all well and good but it means that the quality will not be digital and only similar to radio.
Best thing is to buy a cheapo mp3 player and this...
Thanks mate...yeah the car is a 2004 model so its just what i had thought.
I did think that i might need the aerial adapter lead so will get one in anticipation!
Amazing aint it...still running my new 182 in and every bugger in the world wants to race me!
Pulled out of a junction today and needed a bit of speed quick...not let down at all i was soon seeing 70mph (cant hurt with the occasional slip over 3500rpm!).
Then i slowed down to the speed limit...
The SR6 Neo is pretty good but it is more fixed and not the easiest to move from vehicle to vehicle.
I had one and it worked great but i also drive a van to and from work and needed a new one to transfer from vehicle to vehicle.
Hi Peeps,
I have just ordered a Sony CDXM9900.
I am going to install it myself and do not require the extra lead that controls the display or remote (might get in the future but i know what one)
When i look on web pages for a connetcor lead for the cars std fitments it say N/A...now it is...
You really need one that is GPS and not normal radar as they give off loads of "false" alarms.
I have a Snooper Neo 4 model and it works fine..the B2s are also recommended although i havent had one.
Priced at £274.99 from...
Cant we all just get along?
Each to their own really..lets face it the prices between them all is not much! so anyone with a 172 182 or cup could easily have any of them?
If you want to race around, crash and die or lose your licence there will always be a car to help out.
But as there is...
I had a clifford concept 300 and that was capable of total closure.
I would imagine that the 600 if well capable therefore.
Sorry but i didnt install so cant help with any info
Just ordered a CDX 9900...hopefully it will sound as cool as it looks!!
Nice cheap price..let me know what you have been quoted and either Ill be pis**d off or youll save yourself a couple of quid!
I am thinking of buying a new Sony Stereo and wondered if there are any further leads to install it straight in or will i require an seperate lead?
It will go into a 2004 Model Clio 182.
Have a little stereo experience but dont want it bodged!
Did try a cup model (not the 182 with cup suspension) and it felt a little harder than i wanted .
Not too bad but i like my comfort and not too bothered about a little extra road holding as i dont plan on racing the hell out of her!
Yep its the Artic blue...didnt opt for the cup pack as i dont really like the wheels that much.
Will be putting different ones on anyway so what was the point?
As for suspension then i am not a racing driver and also like my back not being jarred everytime i hit a bump.
Would like the wheels but heard the suspension would annoy after a while..unless you always want to race your car around the std suspension does the job well enough.
I agree it is a bargain but not for everyone.
i dont think it is personal...just a game that birds have.
They get 10 points for middle of the roof..and 25 for the bonnet.
If they can hit both they get 50 points and after about a week they can swap them for 6 wine glasses at an Esso garage near you.
Still only running it in but blipped it a little yesterday and it seems to be a bit better on handling (thatll be the Michelin tyres though!)
As for acceleration it seems to be a bit quicker than my old 172 but not a lot really!
Pissed of a Rover 220 driver a bit...Job done
