The main coolant pipe sheared off due to the movement in the engine it was too tight as we had to bodge it just to get the car out today. We fixed it using a longer pipe of my old 172 so it should be ok now till the samco's finally turn up. I was lucky it lasted as long as it did and it didn't...
Re: NW Rivington/Hollingworth Meet Pictures
After dumping the clio to get the vectra me and Rexe managed to fix the coolant leak and get the car home fine.
Great to meet up with people again :)
My mate got a good picture of your car on the motorway we were in a silver vectra. if i remember i'll post it when i get home. I was too lazy to do a spotted thread.
get the car back up on axle stands and undo the lower bolts on the rear dampers. try pushing the damper up by hand. when mine went i could push it up easily and the other one i couldn't move it at all. i think its only a 17mm bolt or maybe 19mm and its really easy to do.
I'd stick to the bigger brands like Fk/ weitec or bilstien. The Gaz coilovers although good on other cars always have a bad reputation with clio owners. I wouldn't touch the v maxx ones with a barge pole i had them on my corsa and they are awful, imagine a driving round with leaking dampers well...
