I've spent the day today chavving my car.
Bright callipers aren't usually my thing, but I absolutely love the silver/yellow thing, and I think it tidies things up well.
Is this the opposite side to the one you were just trying to push the piston back in? I suspect with no where to go when you had the cap on, it's pushed the opposite side on.
If you can get the calliper off, you may just be able to push it back in - I tend to release the bleed nipple as I'm...
Opinions?
I'm not interested in the fact that H&R, KW or AST are better, just a comparison between standard Cup suspension and the Ktec kit.
Ideally, comparing brand new items against brand new items.
Joining wires together with solder isn't going to be any better done by an electrician. It's hardly rocket science.
I can appreciate issues people claim by soldering wires together, but if you've twisted, soldered and heat shrinked the connection, I don't see this being any less effective than...
What is the OEM paint code for the cup packed anthracite wheels?
I'd also like to consider the darker anthracite of the Trophy Turinis, does anyone have the code and/or a picture of the standard 182 wheels in this colour?
I was just searching for turning circle for the same reason. I also partake in autotesting and was most impressed with the Clio's performance, but with this new BB stuff, it really struggled on the 360s.
I wondered if perhaps there was somewhere you could just just a little more lock.
The issue turned out to be a mixture of the new pads not being bed in yet, and a little bit of air in the system. They improved greatly over the weekend, then were a bit better after bleeding yesterday.
A little update. The car competed in it's first autotest event a few weeks ago, everything went well and the car managed 2nd and 3rd in class with my dad and myself at the helm.
A few jobs were completed last week and today, too. New discs and pads are on, both cv boots replaced (I didn't...
Well, I think it's the safety aspect, to be honest.
I've just pulled it off and it appears that the studs are actually part of the manifold bolts, so replaced easily without having to drill the stud out.
I think it'll grab a replacement, but leave it off anyway - as you say, excess weight :P
Is it needed? One of the studs have snapped on mine, not a huge issue I don't expect, I just don't have time to do it for a week or two, but the vibration noise is really bugging me.
Is it just there to protect the fuel rail in the event of a smash or does it have some other purpose?
So I changed my discs and pads today.
Firstly I learnt that I shouldn't work on the car tired when I pumped the brakes to undo the front disc grub screws, forgetting I'd already taken the rears off. Fortunately the pistons wound back in OK, and off we went.
Bleeding was an utter pain, OSR and...
Are you in road going production class? Is it an MSA event? If so, afaik bluebook says R888s are 1b tyres and aren't legal unless there are supplementary regs saying otherwise for your event?
I doubt you'd see any negative effects on handling, just remember that the sidewalls will be bigger on...
My biggest gripe with my Clio is the quality/compliance of the ride. Now that doesn't mean that I want it to be comfortable, but what I want it to do is not to skip about, bump steer and generally be a pain in the arse at higher speeds. This is not an issue with how hard or soft the suspension...
