i personally think the focus is too big to be classed as a hot hatch, and cant see the point in paying that much extra for a 500 as opposed a standard rs, when it basically has a matt wrap on it it a remap.
im after finding a rolling road in essex or surrounding area who has a good knowledge of omex ecu's.
any body used one lately they could give me the details of?
thank you please
steve
may get that done, it does go like stink, but the idle and low speed travel ie traffic jams can be an issue. as for the wet, dont bother. on the way home with it i thought something had gone wrong as it just wouldnt pull away. that would be shed load of wheel spin then, in first, second...
i did have a set of 15" willy alloys, but lent them to someone and got a set of willwoods 4 pots back, should have kept the alloys to be honest. maybe in the future , who knows.
only got it back on friday after a litle session on the rollers at ktec sorting some mapping issues, so will try and sort some videos if i can figure out how to. and thanks for the comments, and i also forgot to thanks andy cutler for his time and efforts and k tec who helped with the engine.
after a few years of bodged rebuilds, and waiting around, its finally back on the road.
engine spec as follows
forged wossner pistons
block rehoned
new crank and bearings,
t 28 turbo conversion
uprated injectors
charge cooler and pre rad
172 fly wheel and uprated clutch with soft pedal...
souced on now matey, yep drivging the turbo around, its my daily driver. its going for a final map(hopefully), next week. ill take you for a spin if you fancy it. was good for 250 brake, so with more boost and a decent map should be more.
was after a oil pressure sender. know most of them down there. not been for a while, cars been off the road for a years or so. got messed around by people who were supposed to be rebuilding the engine they fucked up first time.
