Came with ContiSport 3's as standard. I'd stick with those all day everyday. Mine have been exceptional! Although nothing to stop you trying other brands I guess.

Mine sits below the half way temperature. I don't think I've ever seen it above that, even after 3/4 hours of driving. If it's not warm it'll come on before 7 in the higher gears. But regardless you'll feel resistance from the engine anyway at around 2-3k when it's not warm. They won't even...

When the car is fully warm and in the higher gears it'll be about 7-7.5k. In your lower gears it'll be before that. The shift light will come on as Slippers says.
