Nothing much other than the exhaust has been annnoying me lately...possibly the heat shield doing the dreaded 4k rpm rattle.
The driving position has also been infuriating me so have been looking around for a drivers seat. Buckets I feel are overkill on a car that will live almost entirely on...
Speedline turini's look perfect on these clio's! What size are they 16"? Shame most are so overpriced for what are probably buckled second hand rims or I'd have some by now!
Power to weight isnt such a great indicator as you can tell by the Porsches still pulling away on the straights. Still thats an awful lot of horsepower for a 106!What do you think of the Clio so far?
I cut most of it as it was mostly traffic in the built up areas (i won't break any limits no matter what in residential areas) Also cut out where some old dear pulled out straight in front of me and also a sideways entry into a roundabout lol. Tis all good. I know all the roads I go a little...
Left the wiper. Mirrors look pimp!
For some reason i have a GoPro HD Hero 2 sat upstairs doing nothing so thought as it was a dry(ish) day i may as well make the most of it!

How long should I wait before sanding the lacquer. I have 2000 and 2500 grit so probably best to use the latter. Also to polish I only have turtle wax and t-cut....that be okay?
Am also thinking on removing the rear wiper. Not sure though.
Hmm. Trying to work out what wheels to eventually get...
Turinis probably look best but common
2118 almost as nice and weigh much the same? less common
TD 1.2's can be had in many colours and are 4.9kg in 15"?
I think I'll give it a go and if I really fluff it up I'll do what you did! Im already eyeing up my next spray job....the door pull surround thing..the little strip just above the actually "pull" part :)
Mine came out immaculate I did remove the stickers first so I know what you mean. Capsi red is such a nice colour when its fully clean. My old 133 was the same colour and I loved it!
Now its getting dark they are reflecting the light and colours from my shed light so im more than happy. Just got to try not to be stupid and put them on the car for a while!
Well redid the mirrors!
Sanded them down as best I could with what I had (2000 grit) and then redid them primer and all!
To be honest I got 90% of the finish I was after which isnt bad for a diy jobbie. If I hadnt have ballsed it up the first time they probably would have been 99% but oh well...
Im dubious about using anything other than the standard setup but that looks awesome! Is that a ktec or the fatty's setup?
Only thing thats bugging me on your car is the grille needs a respray as its faded. I did mine the other week and now looks loads better. Problem is im now going to have...
Clear coat is off and now im left with the graphite grey which now looks a matte colour with what looks like orange holes all over it! I also sanded right down to the original colour in a small part of it so majorly fucked off. Don't know how this has happened when all my over stuff came out 100%
If I wetsand them thats just going to take the lacquer off though? Judgng by the state of them I think thats what im going to have to do though. Quite how I managed to get these so wrong compared to all the other things ive done im not sure!
